Catholic Church as The Matrix
image A Matrix-style poster depicting a Catholic priest as Neo isn't a spoof. The Catholic Church really is distributing these things. It's part of their new recruitment campaign:

The poster's creator, the Rev. Jonathan Meyer, 28, associate director of youth ministries for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, says pop culture is the key to attracting young men to an occupation that has gotten bad press.
"If we can get high-school youth to hang a picture of a priest in their room, that's huge in helping young men to answer the call to the priesthood," the cleric said. "Anyone who is a 'Matrix' guru looks at the picture and automatically gets it."
Crucifix in hand, Father Meyer posed for the poster, rated R for "restricted to those radically in love with Jesus Christ." Running time is "all eternity," and its title reads, "The Catholic priesthood: The answer is out there ... and it's calling you."

I'm wondering how far the Neo as Catholic priest analogy can be extended. In the second Matrix movie, Neo has sex with Trinity. So how are we supposed to interpret that? In one sense it seems appropriate (priests are dedicating themselves to God, or the Holy Trinity), but in another way it doesn't seem to be the message the Church intended. I ain't going to say sorry, because there's more than one peadophile in here that think's the W(h)ayko on the back of their heado for a bleached head society is going to save them from facing the consequencies of their abuse's, think again!
If you cannot work out the simplicity of translation from 'Hebrew' to "one from the other side", then your the one's that need labotamising permainately, because there is no other power in man made religion other than to fuck about in the public record's, and change the history to condition nation's, and that's what this planet will judge on man, the real LORE, which no man, Nasa or Nazi, can stop! Shake a leg, heheheh!

Kaos did you tell me on an email that your own husband is a Catholic? Why would you insult your husbands beliefs if you supposedly love him? I'm not trying to be rude or even confrontational but I was just curious.Thanks.

Dear, didn't you read my email correctly? I married my ENEMY, lol! Well, beside's that, i had to get my name back despite the UK Police and Social Service's taking m,y kid's and giving them to their peadophile father in the American Civil Fake All War's For The Money Association, AKA Shull N' Bone's, AKA Freemason's, AKA The British Army and Morphine Obesessed British Establishment, AKA the WHOLE flippin Country is run by half brained Nazi's that the Vatican is running via the World Health Organisation! The deal was done in 1936 between abdicated King Ed and Freemason Hitler to run his Jew/Bright Kid's on Ketamine Camp's within the NHS system, and I already got several Member's of the British Parliament shitting themselves, like MP Lynn Jones for Selly Oak, Birmingham, and Richard Burden for Northfield, Birmingham, and I also got the shit on EX PM Tony Blair involved in obtaining gun licences for registered peadophile offender's that are Freemason member's, and that's a fact!
It dosn't matter to me what man made religion you state you are attained to, or what colour your skin is on the outside, your all black as the Ace of Spade's on the inside, and if you don't know where in your pathetic little half brain's the concept of Evil and the Devil derive's from what part of your own plebomeba psyche, then thank fuck this planet you're walking on has no more Aroura Borialis for any one of you to get a Second Chance with! Because all the Dark Power you, or any Secret Society has on this planet is to get someone to fuck about in the public paperwork to hide their shit in, and that aint no Dark Power whatsoever!

The Catholic Church is full of Schitzophrenic's that can't face the truth about themselve's, that's why they use a Welsh Gealic psychjology book in reverse to use as a Scapegoat, and so does all other man made religion's on this planet, and to tell you the truth, man has no right to worship man made religion as their God unless you've got two side's of a brain working all your life, not just to the age of 8 when you got your Daddie's dick's up your backside's! Is this what you call The Cock Of The Dawn, because that's what all man made religion's have done to their children all over the Globe, and the Vatican is the major abuser's, and you know that's a fact!

Kaos it seems to me,and I'm no psychiatrist mind you, that you are taking all of your anger out against your husband because he has your kids and thus you feel hatred for Catholicism because you are scared and mad at this faith only because your husband belongs to it. My opinion, is that you need to resolve your situation with your ex-husband, talk to him about your angry feelings and just try and understand that the Catholic Church has no place in this argument of yours. The Church has not harmed you in any way, but a member has and like I said I think you should talk to him about it. Also , and again this is just my opinion, but it looks to me like you might want to see a psychiatrist, tell them about your feeling and have them help you deal with them correctly, but going on this particular site and spreading incoherent nonsense on here is not the right way to vent your anger at your husband.I hope this has helped kaos and please do not be offended.Talk to you soon.

Devil's Night (The Bitch of a Witch, ie; The Condemnation of Jeannette deal with the Freemason's to shut her gob up and call her Mute, instead of their own Dead Nerve between their right hemisphere conscious coherence Bosse and their left hemisphere Super Id Schitzophrenic Munchausen Pavlov half brain! ), is upon us once again. Let's thow a party, start a few fire's, and rob the Public Purse, as the Truth has Dawned on the World, and we're all gona die!

Now go and find that Truth in the Bible, because you don't even know what the name 'Neah' mean's!

Amen = 'ti's done', and that's my name!

Youth, your obsessed with what you've lost a long time ago, and that's the Syneasthesis Magnetic Polarity Code's that you gave away to your D.A.D. along with your Dual magnetic Pineal and Pitruitry Gland's, and you call yourselve's Intelligent! Your a fucking laughing stock to me, infact, i'ed say this forum has been better than paying to see all the fucked up brain's half brain's behind the glass in White Cell's in Bedlam, which was all the fashion in the 18th Century when Women wore beard's, ran every country, and men were the fucking work horses, and shot for telling themselve's a fucking lie!
What happened? Some half brained peado called Alistair Little Prick Crowely changed the word 'Sine', the Dutch word for 'Jean' to 'Sin' when he got the name of Mrs Nothing from the Hermetic Text's that the Vatican gave him!

What's really hillarious, is the Freemason's York Rite, bashing eachother on the head with a cattle batton whilst standing in coffin's with a skull and bone's painted in the bottom of it, because adult's get too big to Brain Shock in the Font's like little babies, and it's the only way the Vatican know's how to keep half brain's like you interested in utter bollocks by Bleaching your conscious coherence with yourselve's, and you think you've got the 'Big Secret' of the Holy Grail, ie; a Greek Urn Called a Huntress, ie; Psyche, that's going to save your Soul when the planet your living on is Halting herself! I think you better get on your 33 bone's in your Apprentice Pillar Spinal Rod, and see if you can Bow your back like a Winding Serpent on the nearest Lay Line Hot DOT you can find, and see if you can get your Coloniah to catch up with your deliberate ignorance! Paganism is for children, after the physical age of 5 year's old, you should know the difference between right and wrong, and any 5 year old in any country can read a Bible if you keep your penise's off them, half brain's like you just act as if you can read it, and that's a fact, because if you did, you wouldn't be calling Prince William The Beaux, when in Old English it mean's a 'Tomboy', and I can't wait to see prince William in a White Wedding Gown!!! That's how much you know how to read the Prophetic Bible!

Good to hear from you again Cranky. I actually remember hearing about this on the news when he was still running for president and I remember Fox was talking about whether or not it was okay to have an accused sex abuser help him in his campaign. To be homest that was a pretty stupid move on Guiliani's part.(if that's how you spell his name) I have a question for you though Cranky. Do you still know if the accused sexual abuser is still working as a clergyman or is he no longer working as a a clergyman? Thanks.

Found this by the way :The U.S. Catholic Church has responded to its national abuse scandal with a systemic solution. Each diocese must have a molestation policy that requires an investigation by a lay-dominated review panel, care for the victims, defrocking of abusive priests, and protection of the rights of the accused and accusers.

It's from http://www.biblicalrecorder.org/content/news/2007/06_25_2007/ne250607the.shtml

That's certainly a step in the right direction on the part of the Church, William. It would have been nice if they had instituted it BEFORE dozens of lawsuits were filed and several dioceses went into bankruptcy. It is certainly needed.

Yeah it is, seems like things are finally coming together for the Catholic Church and its sex abuse complaints are finally being handled in a way that seems to please most people.

It seems like Joshua was right all along about the Catholic Church and their solution with how to go about dealing with pedophiliac priests, even if he was a delusional psychopath with no proof to back up his arguments. I believe that's called irony.Peace.

That's interesting and all but at the end it mentioned how that priest whom was accused of groping the man was defrocked as was another priest in Denver who died in 2003.

Even the Pope admits that the Catholic Church handled the child abuse cases extremely badly:

http://apnews1.iwon.com//article/20080416/D9038HR00.html

"That's interesting and all but at the end it mentioned how that priest whom was accused of groping the man was defrocked as was another priest in Denver who died in 2003."

Oooh, their wrists must really sting from that slapping. Child molesters need to be put into JAIL, not just kicked out of their little club.

Yes, it looks as if the Church is FINALLY taking the problem seriously, but it shouldn't have taken hundreds or thousands of complaints and two billion dollars in payments to victims.
Posted by Cranky Media Guy  on  Wed Apr 16, 2008  at  05:25 PM
Well, it WAS nice to think that the Pope was sincere about wanting "transparency" in the child abuse scandal. That was until I saw this:

Cranky first off the priest mentioned in that article of yours did eventually go to jail, and this excerpt from an article provided by Will saying "The U.S. Catholic Church has responded to its national abuse scandal with a systemic solution. Each diocese must have a molestation policy that requires an investigation by a lay-dominated review panel, care for the victims, defrocking of abusive priests, and protection of the rights of the accused and accusers." is from 2008 wheras your article is from 2005. That was three years ago and as Will has laready proven the Pope is handling the situation all right now.

P.S.- Also You might want to check the dates on the articles you use as "proof" before posting them on here, as all they do is cause confusion and feature inaccurate data on CURRENT situations.

I never said that the article WASN'T from 2005.

Yes, I'm aware of what the Church is currently saying. Only time will determine whether it's just words, however.

"That was three years ago and as Will has laready proven the Pope is handling the situation all right now."

Yes, the Church is SAYING it is handling the situation. We'll see.

Can anyone produce proof that the Catholic Church has turned even one child molesting priest over to law enforcement or even merely excommunicated one? The Bishops were quick to say that politicians who support abortion rights were automatically excommunicated, but I can't recall any official Church statements on the same thing concerning priests who anally raped children.

Over the past weekend, the Pope administered Communion to Rudy Giuliani, the ex-mayor of New York City, who at least used to support abortion rights and who married at least once outside of the Church, which SHOULD exclude him from Communion. This kind of hypocrisy is the reason I'm less than 100% confident that the Church will follow through on its nice words about protecting children.

Look Cranky I'm not trying to start a fight, I was just pointing something out. But just so you know molestation and raping/getting divorced are not some of the reasons one gets excommunicated. You get excommunicated for heresy, pro-abortion people in the government-you get the idea. But the Church does teach you are forgiven of sins, if you are truly sorry for them, during the Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) Guiliani has gone to confession to confess his sins thus he CAN recieve communion, and he probably talked about what he could do to recieve communion again- you don't know as you do not have a personal relationship with Guliani so don't go assuming things like that. And the same thing goes for the molestors. It's not hypocrisy it's a little thing called "RECONCILIATION" and as everyone has made mistakes God forgives them if they are truly sorry and thus so does his Church.

Let's see...the Catholic Church says it is the One True Faith. The Pope, according to the Church, is God's emissary on Earth. The Church's rules come through the Pope from God (after all, where else would they come from?)

If we accept that, we're left with the conclusion that God takes "heresy" and being pro-choice MUCH more seriously than He takes anal raping young children.

Wow. I know He works in mysterious ways and all that, but...wow.

Oh, by the way, Rudy Giuliani was very vocally pro-choice when he was mayor of New York, but apparently that only matters to the Church if you're a Democrat (as witnessed by the fact that Bishops announced they would not administer Holy Communion to John Kerry because he was pro-choice, although they had no problem with Rudy receiving it).

I wish you a good life, as well.

I guess that's one way to rationalize not being able to explain the irrational behavior of your church. I think it's called "blame the messenger."

Honestly, does it make sense that the Church will excommunicate you for being pro-choice or for being married outside of it but NOT for anally raping young children? Remember, *I* say that, Ian did. I just pointed out the absurdity of it.

Don't you people have better things to do than pick on the Catholic Church? I don't remember them ever talking sh*t about you so why do you feel the need to talk sh*t about them? I know as Americans (and British people for KAOS) we have freedom of speech but we do have hate crime laws too. The fact is Kaos you have issues, I don't have to say anything else your comments speak for themselves, and Cranky you have this thing that whenever someone tries to protect a Church that has never hurt you in any way to get all pissed off and start ranting. Even when William provides you with CURRENT AND VERY RECENT news articles saying that this current Pope is making sure sexual abuse cases drastically decrease in the next couple of years you simply call it "lies" make an unnecessary comment about priest's raping boys and provide us with out-dated articles from before our current Pope was even elected to be the next successor of St. Peter. Great, I am NOT going to disagree with you that THER WERE problems with priest's sexually abusing children, and I am NOT going to disagree when you say that there WAS a problem with the Vatican not knowing how to deal with these problems and then consequestely covering them up. But the fact is NOW, RIGHT NOW in the present times the Pope has promised to change all that and make sure problems with sexual abuse of children does not occur anymore and that the priests will be quickly de-frocked and punished by the full extent of the law in whatever state they live in.

Since I never said that the Catholic Church hurt *me,* bringing that up is a red herring. The fact is that people in the Catholic Church DID hurt young children and other people in the Church took steps to cover those crimes up. THAT'S what I'm mad at the Church for. Besides, how would you know whether I have ever been hurt by the Catholic Church? You're going to hurt yourself jumping to conclusions like that.

Do you remember the part of the Bible where Jesus says that you will be judged by how you treat the least among us? If you believe that, then you have to think that the child molesting priests will not be judged well upon their death.

"Even when William provides you with CURRENT AND VERY RECENT news articles saying that this current Pope is making sure sexual abuse cases drastically decrease in the next couple of years you simply call it "lies" make an unnecessary comment about priest's raping boys and provide us with out-dated articles from before our current Pope was even elected to be the next successor of St. Peter."

Please show me where I said the Pope was lying. What I DID say was that I was less than convinced that the Church will follow through on those lovely-sounding words.

My skepticism would be based, at least in part, on something called the Ratzinger Report. I've referred to this before; it's a report written by the current Pope back in the 80's which recommendd that the Church sit on the information about children who were molested by priests until ten years after their 18th birthday. In other words, information about a child who was molested at ten years old would be sealed for EIGHTEEN YEARS. Looks like a cover-up to me.

The Pope is saying nice things now. Unfortunately, his actions in the past contradict the notion that he is for transparency and openness.

People, including the Pope, should be judged by their actions rather than their words.
