Is Jim Morrison Alive?

image Most people think the musician Jim Morrison, lead singer for the Doors, died in Paris on July 3, 1971. But Gerald Pitts says that he "discovered Jim Morrison Living on a Ranch in the Pacific Northwest in the summer of 1998." According to him, Morrison is living a quiet life as an American cowboy "away from the Hollywood scene." Even though Morrison evidently engineered an elaborate death hoax to escape publicity, he agreed to appear on film for Pitts. You can buy a copy of this film for only $24.95 (shipping is extra). Pitts' site includes a video comparing the features of Jim Morrison the fifty-something cowboy to Jim Morrison the twenty-something singer. However, no matter how many times I watch the video, I just don't see any similarity.

The Morrison family would like to express our thanks to the fans, friends, and loved ones who support our beloved James Douglas Morrison and Pamela.Thank you for the dedication in honoring our family and also for respecting us here and beyond. We wish Mr.Logan and Jlizard the best and hope they could find peace and closure. And to Mr.loyer, impersonation can be a form of flattery, but we are not flattered. We request that you stop. You have offended people by your actions, more than you even know. That's quite enough. This mockery of us, Morrisons, has gone on for too long. Our family has perservered and the accusations made regarding James D.Morrison's death tried to disprove that fact. You also tried to discredit his reputation, and aura even.Unsuccessfully I might add.We will always be watching and waiting to defend our family and the proud name of Morrison that we hold dear and treasure.Never standing down.Loyalty.

yeah i think he is alive because he had no reason of dieing on is death certifacit besides a heart failure and people look older after awhile and also i saw this web site where ray manzarek said he was a cowboy so that might be the truth

Thanks Cody, you're a big help.
Posted by David Logan  on  Mon Jan 25, 2010  at  01:35 AM
I'm sure Cody meant well, but accourding to all those who know/knew Bill Loyer, the fact is that records of Loyer first show up in 1970 when James Douglas Morrison was still very much alive and when all JDM's time could be accounted for.

There was no autopsy and that is why the death certificate said "heart failure," a valid form of death btw.

Ray was joking about the cowboy bit.

Was he? I thought it was more like gambling at the time. The very best to all.

Salli,
How can the claim that your dead friend is still alive be a joke- to whom in the hell can that seem funny? And if he did single out the cowboy in Oregon whom we know to be Bill Loyer then I ask WHY? Why him? David Logan, Poet Sharon Fuerst, Mike Sabatini and dozens of people from Oregon worked with Bill Loyer and NONE of them ever joked about this being Jim Morrison. Why would Ray?
Jim Morrison brought incredible prosperity to the other DOORS members, most of which was wrought posthumously. Ray, John and Robbie didn't even go to the funeral because they knew he was faking his death as so many times he told them they would. He did fake his death. They didn't care what Jim Morrison was going through because he was rediculously tough to work with and addicted to narcotics. Manzarek, Krieger, Densmore and Stevenson are yuppies who suckle the blood of American veterans and make a lot of money doing it.

Jim Morrison did not fake his death.Bill Loyer is a con artist.I don't care if he writes 'poetry' or paints or sings on his head backwards,he is not my friend Jim Morrison of The Doors.John aka JLizard, you contradict yourself many times in that last nonsense comment. Are you friends with Ray,Robbie or John? Were you there in France July 1971 when Jim died? It is safe to say your answer is NO!Sabatini and Fuerst should make there own statement here or anywere and that still is unreliable!Ray along with someothers have mocked bill loyer for reasons that are so apparent.John, you are smarter than that! Why do you want to ruin your rep with real people?what do you owe bill?we are starting to worry about youjohn.David might be coming around, but you, are you ok?really.Do you need assistance? Its so comical yet frightening how you come up with your own conclusions and answers to the negative side of his death.Almost as if you were the one hurt or something.wow.You try to convince yourself of why he would fake death, and your conclusions are childish and lucid.Anyone with a brain that knew even a quarter of the story who was against the truth could come up with the same exact conclusions that you have.

I was a freelance writer, never had enough money to become a yuppie. Despite that, I manage to give money every year to AMVET, Paralysed Vets, Vietnam Vets, and other Veterans organizations. Can you say the same, JLizard?

James Douglas Morrison is dead. He has been since July 3, 1971. Anything else you claim is a cruel attempt on your part to buy yourself some fame at the expense of all those people who knew the real lead singer of the Doors, JDM.

here i am again. those pictures were very disappointing. you went on and on and on about new pics coming, and they took months; nearly a year even to be produced. Con tip(from someone who isn't a con artist just using common sense): instead of fucking around with those cheesy ass photographs do a video of him performing one of his tunes that would have been a little more convincing. basically, all i can say: DNA...face the family/people who knew. it's not him jlizard and mr. logan. this is meaningless. your biggest mistake was thinking that you could relate.

Days after 9-11 I collaborated with Rowdy Gaines and raised close to $100 by selling his autographed photos on ebay.

I've been sitting back for a while wondering why there are such " Gomer Pyle" sort of epigrams being used here right now.

Whether or not Jim Morrison is dead (and I believe that he is) doesn't excuse the moronic , dimwit kind of Pyle Vs Sarge sort of exchange. It leads me towards a singular conclusion.. and that is that most Americans are brainless fools.

This a difficult thing to say as I'm very fond of Americans; unfortunately 99.99% of you are blithering idiots destined to become a a zero braincell sort of entity..you're well on the way towards that goal.

I've had enough of all of your rotten bleatings, You disgust me with your support of the State of Israel and you deserve all that you get. You're a vile race of people who regard oil as your God..well enjoy the results that you have earned.

I'm afraid that someone has used my name..I never wrote those negative comments. I've mailed JLizzard and stated my point of view.

I would like to say one thing..I have opinions of my own that are forensic in nature and rely on the veracity of what I can see in front of my nose. JLizzard knows who I am as we have been writing to eachother for a while now.

I'm no "chicken", but I'm not a fool either; so if you have something to say , then do it on your own card..and not mine.

Who the fuck is Gomer Pyle anyway? was he another talking horse like Ed?

For the record I love America, I've been there many, many times and love your land. I also love the kindness that you show folk like me in the times that I've been to your shores. I would never have written that crap about America. Please give me the benefit of doubt.

JLizzard please help

Indecisively incredible. I think it is him. Peoples change with age can totally throw one for a loop. This man is still rugged and handsome. What magic if so. Maybe we'll get to see some more from him. That would be fun..

I have been watching this site for some time. Evidence seems to be mounting. Pictures are incredible. Nobody has come up looking like this, and the slight chance as they said, if anybody could of or would have done it, it would have been Jim. I would like to hear more of the story.

I remember this .... All the years combine, they melt into a dream,A broken angel sings from a guitar. In the end there's just a song comes cryin up the nightThru all the broken dreams and vanished years.Stella blue. stella blue. When all the cards are down, there's nothing left to see,There's just the pavement left and broken dreams. In the end there's still that song comes cryin like the wind.Down every lonely street that's ever beenStella blue. stella blue.Ive stayed in every blue-light cheap hotel, can't win for trying.Dust off those rusty strings just one more time,Gonna make them shine, shineIt all rolls into one and nothing comes for free,There's nothing you can hold, for very long. And when you hear that song come crying like the wind,It seems like all this life was just a dream.Stella blue. stella blue. Thank you 😊 my cup runneth over.Do you remember this one?."They say there are treasures of silver and gold burried down by the rainbow's end,But the treasure I'll find will bring me real peace of mind,When we come to the rainbow's end.Down in the garden there's a little white gate which most dream folks always attent And just inside there's a little path that leads towards the rainbow's end And down at the end there's a sign that reads... love that will never die.Now no one can travel out the path no one but you and I". ...ya know, Only love is the key to The Gate To Love, which is The Gate To Life. The treasure of Abounding unconditional love will heal the hurts. FYI a friend of mine talked to gerald pitts years ago n said somethin similiar about shanking jims hand.Pitts said jims response to that was he didnt fake his death so he can shake hands of fans bcause then he wouldnt of had to do it in the first place otherwise hed be shaking hands for the rest of his life bcaus thousands of fans want to shake his hand and the line was way long.so jim morrison?a.no.rock stars arnt and jim was never obligated to shaking hands.jim loved his fans, what rock star doesnt?then again I thought he did it to get out of contract?bullshit always is dirty and smells badddd.

Hooray Know it all, way to stand up to the mob. I think it was in Huck Finn where a mob assembled and were going to attack a farmer. He got out on his porch and called them a bunch of idiots and told them to go home. Torches, rifles, pitchforks all accompanied the cowardly mob home.
This story will ultimately be a tradgedy- tradgedy out of the spirit of music I suppose. Jim Morrison was only a performer for 7 years but a professional elusive for almost 40. I think if I worked on disguising myself for 40 years it'd be difficult to recognize me too. But not impossible.
Look carefully at Logan's website http://www.highmountainrogue.com. Revisit the serious videos on youtube. enjoy

Wow. That's a big statement.
I believe Jim Morrison's contract was up with Elecktra Records.

We haven't even begun to pull pictures together or twist them around. Jim is an exact look alike. Not only that he sounds like him. Sings like him. Can tell all the stories. Reads books backwards. He's a clone. This is a hoax.
