Most people think the musician Jim Morrison, lead singer for the Doors, died in Paris on July 3, 1971. But Gerald Pitts says that he "discovered Jim Morrison Living on a Ranch in the Pacific Northwest in the summer of 1998." According to him, Morrison is living a quiet life as an American cowboy "away from the Hollywood scene." Even though Morrison evidently engineered an elaborate death hoax to escape publicity, he agreed to appear on film for Pitts. You can buy a copy of this film for only $24.95 (shipping is extra). Pitts' site includes a video comparing the features of Jim Morrison the fifty-something cowboy to Jim Morrison the twenty-something singer. However, no matter how many times I watch the video, I just don't see any similarity.

Being in my late 50's,I too for many years thought he just may have pulled off the reports of his "death" and faked his death.But as time went on and more facts came to light it was all too clear(to me anyway)that the rumors of a heroin OD were more than just rumors.They were fact.
It's a God damn shame too.He had the world by the balls,had things most people would never even get a chance to obtain let alone have and threw it all away that early morning of July 4th.Pam and her junkie "friends" helped get his ass into the ground before the French authorities found out who he really was because there would've been hell to pay if they knew he was Jim Morrison,the lead singer of the American rock band The Doors and not just some "american writer".
Morrison is dead as much as would like to see and hear proform again,I know in my heart he's gone.

I see you're from Rockford. Are you a Good Year Pimps fan? They had songs on Mission Impossible 2 and Crazy Beautiful and are pretty established rock and rollers. I am pals with all of them, especially Hilly, GT and Tony... at least I thought I was. I desparately tried to get them to help break out this story and they turned their back on me. I'm sorry to tell you all that Jim Morrison is most definately deceaced...My Mothers brother was an assistant corroner (is that correct English?) in Paris when he had died.
He was called to the appartment to insist that the decomposing body was released by his wife who had been refusing any aid or assistance. His body was covered in ice, but as soon as it was applied it melted due to the hot summer...It didnt stop his body rotting too much.
His neighbour below his appartment (Mdme Roche) complained to the landlord or the building about water coming through her ceiling and an unpleasant smell...hence the arrival of my Uncle with two Gendarmes. His corpse was eventually removed with some force...My Uncle descibed him to me as an overweight long haired man in his 50's...and was astounded....amazed that he was actually ony 27..(although the body at this time was black and bloated)
I dont understand why the myth of Jim Morrison being alive still persists when the French Authorities have detailed documentory evidince of his death and have always had it!
I only assume it is because the surviving members of the Doors want to perpetuate that myth...As for me...I've read his poetry which I think stands alone from his music...some of which I like very much...we French recognise poets and I think Rimbaud would have been very proud of Jim Morrison, but also very sad that he took his (Rimbauds) experiment, so literally.to a fatal extreme

Jim Morrison loved my Country and in death was connected to it , and my family..in a weird kind of way...so please dont be a racict and assume that you're right...you are not Jim Morrison because he is dead, and if he was alive then he would not be as rude as you; he was an educated man which you obviously are not.
