Vampire Sites

Here's a couple of vampire-themed websites sent in by visitors. First we have the Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency. According to the blurb on the site, "From 1868 to 1975, the Federal Vampire & Zombie Agency (FVZA) was responsible for controlling the nation's vampire and zombie populations while overseeing scientific research into the undead. This site is a tribute to the men and women who served in the FVZA, especially the over 4000 Agents who lost their lives fighting to keep our country safe." And next we have The Temple of the Vampire. If you want to live forever, then all you have to do is join the temple. The catch is that in order to join you have to buy their book, The Vampire Bible. That's a good sales gimmick. I should try something like that for my book, such as if you want to achieve a state of absolute enlightenment, then you have to buy my book.

Obviously you didn't bother to read the comments.

The founder of the ToV is George Charles Smith. He is a former Adept from the Temple of Set, currently a Magister in he Church of Satan. He goes by the nicknames "Nemo" and "Lucas Martel". He founded the ToV as a way to make easy money in 1989.

He currently resides in Lacey, Olympia, WA with his wife Ruth. Their son Michael lives with his wife Alli in San Diego. Their names in the ToV are Isabel, Faelyn and Flidais, respectively.

Other important figures in the ToV are David Styles and Erik Bourgeois. Or as they're also known, Linguascelesta and

To the one who argued some pages back, that registering a religion under the federal government doesn't necessarily get it tax exempted. Why would one register under the Feds unless you are trying for 501c status? Does 1+1=2? This is what the TOV did. I also blame the COS for promoting such an organization, which is against their own doctrine. Give the TOV your charity...
Read here on 501c:

That raises some questions Meolnir. The COS more than likely knows about the TOV scam, yet does nothing. It is a racket. It is a "business," er, charity. Jim Baker=Nemo. It should be brought to light. The COS and the TOV should be scared of this website.

Do you know what I find really funny?

Back in the 1987, while still in the ToS, George "Nemo" Smith wrote an essay titled "The Hidden Source of the Satanic Philosophy", where he explains that Anton LaVey based his philosophy on Rand's objectivism, and makes a comparison between the Nine Satanic Statements and John Galt's speech on "Atlas Shrugged".

Funnily, Mr Smith himself plagiarized Miss Rand's philosophy when he wrote "The Vampiric Philosophy", which can be found in the "Vampire Priesthood Bible". Therein he explains the epistemology, metaphysics, ethics, politics and ethics of "Vampirism", all of which turn out to be identical to the principles of Objectivism.

Pathetic, huh?

"Lu Yang"'s claims are untrue.

Oh David....is that the best you could come up with.

You are a disgrace to the title of "Warlock", for the sake of the CoS and all Satanists, relinquish your title and your Red-Card.

The vampire religeon is a hoax as proved here even before Lu Yang appeared.

I would say that you are lucky you live abroad, when the s**t hits the fan and the IRS looks into the plastic-fanger finances, you may be one of the only ones left standing.

In my opinion (as it all is) you are out of your league here...

David....Me thinks you are having a hard time with all of this information.

You are actually feeling like you have been "had", they didn't let you in on the fact that this was all a money making scheme..did they?

David....You really thought that all of this was true, the immortality, the Undead Gods, the taking of lifeforce!

Like alot of people, you started as a Satanist but was lead astray by nemo and his array of banners...Because they hold titles within the CoS, they must be telling the truth...

David...It's a H-O-A-X!

Quote "Lu Yang"'s claims are untrue. http://www.vampiretemple.com contains all the information you need to understand the Vampire religion."

Actually the TOV website doesn't really tell you anything about the actual religion or what the "candidate" will really be getting themselves involved in. You must actually start spending money before you can even know anything about it, and of course, the ever-changing rules do nothing to ease one's apprehensions.

In fact, a person contemplating joining the Temple of the Vampire CANNOT make an informed decision until they spend money, since no one in the TOV is ALLOWED to discuss the TOV with non-members, or even "lifetime" members who are not "active" members. Then, once they gain entrance to this facade, they realize they must spend more money and eventually hand over their entire personality to a website cult for the sake of a rented title which can be revoked at any second of the day by their charlatan leader, Nemo.

Let us not forget that in order to get into the third circle (aka priesthood or inner temple) you have to take an oath and sign a document that basically hands your soul over to Nemo and his undead goons.

Maybe this wouldn't be so horrendous except for the fact that EVERY MEMBER is EXPECTED to enter into the priesthood, and is in fact, pressured to do so. Imagine a religion that forces every person to become a priest? That's TOV for you.

Seekers are coming to this website (Museum of Hoaxes) because there are facts made available here for them to make an informed decision BEFORE getting involved or making serious commitments about joining a religion.

Of course, there is at this point in time, an overwhelming body of evidence pointing to the Temple of the Vampire as being a complete hoax and money-making scam. At the very least, there is enough reasonable doubt here to make one think hard about getting involved. In addition, there are personal testimonies by people who have been inside the so-called "organization" and eventually saw it for what it was. They are doing the world a great service by sharing their stories here.

The truth remains that there is no actual "temple" and that the Temple of the Vampire is not a real place, and is nothing more than a website with paying followers. No, you are not masters of the human race. No, you are not immortal. No, you are not gods.

I have actually been following this blog for a long time now and am quite impressed with the amount of information that has been collected through this collective group effort. Truly, this information needs to be available to the general public, since people are being taken advantage of by this hoax.

As far as the Church of Satan goes, in my opinion it deserves it's very own thread. Many of the COS members here, either deliberately, or accidently, have shown that "organization" to be quite similar in nature to it's vampire "brothers." This should not be such a shocker, really, since it's the same people running it, or mutual friends at the very least. You guys fighting don't really stand a chance outside of starting your own COS, as many others have done. The COS LaVey created has long been deceased. Great work, nonetheless guys.

Gabriel, I like your style (you know who you are).

Happy Walpurgis Night, David. Give my regards to Nemo.

It roughly translates to "We are Eternal Gods".

LuYang, last time I checked (several months back) all the websites of both organizations were being hosted out of the same IP address.
Posted by That Guy  on  Fri Apr 30, 2010  at  10:04 AM
LuYang,

Yes, I learned that somewhere else. Do you know why they specifically chose to use aUI? I remember reading somewhere that aUI was more exact--and it is, as there's a one-to-one correspondence between morphemes and meaning--and therefore better for ritual purposes, but do you think it's just part of Nemo's overriding fascination with aliens?

I'm betting it's no coincidence that the ToV's ritual language is a purported alien language, but you'd know better than me, having risen all the way to the top.

Morphemes..ok. ANOTHER new word. I was under the impression that the language was a take on the Enochian Language... supposedly written by John Dee in the 16th century. Otherwise, known as syllables, or short phonetic sounds. My thoughts: Rituals are personal. Silence is golden. Since your thoughts can extend impressions beyond words, rituals should have no words at all.

I asked Ben Best about the CI having any possible connection with the TOV and this was his reply:

"There is no relationship apart from the fact that
some of our Members belong (a fact that I
discovered as a result of your disclosures).
CI has no rules excluding Members from
belonging to any other organizations.

--Ben Best."

So why is Nemo afraid of his cult members linking cryonics with his Temple?
Posted by LuYang  on  Sun May 02, 2010  at  01:59 AM
Morphemes aren't syllables. They're the smallest meaningful units of words (although there are various problems with that definition).

aUI, as I've already said, was invented (or received) by a psychologist in Iowa, who claimed it was taught to him by little green extraterrestrials. The whole point of the conlang is that every sound has a corresponding meaning (which is termed "oligosynthesis" in linguistic parlance). The aliens supposedly gave it to him because it was supposed to bring about peace and stop nuclear annihilation or something like that.

Somebody from the ToV claimed it was supposed to be a very exact ritual language, as you express exactly what you mean far better than any natural, human language (human language is, after all, FULL of ambiguities). aUI gets rid of those ambiguities and allows you to express your ritual intentions as accurately as possible. Anyway, that's what a ToV member claimed somewhere (probably on here).

But I think Nemo uses it because of its associations with aliens. The ToV believes that Vampires are responsible for "alien abductions" (which are really forcible Vampiric metamorphoses), so it would be natural to believe (at least in the ToV ritual framework) that aUI was really received from Vampires disguised as aliens.

The whole thing is obviously very silly.

For example, to date no television nor film documentary has received permission to interview the Temple. We do not participate in the modern "media circus".----

Even though you were in a COS Documentary, with TOV mention.

"What is the Inner Council, is it like the Council of Nine of the Church of Satan?"---

Yes, it seem to be the same. Lavey would be proud.

What a bullshit interview.

John Weilgart, the creator of aUI, wrote two books:

"aUI: The Language of Space: For the First Time Represented and Adapted to the Needs of This Planet" (1967)

"Cosmic Elements of Meaning: Symbols of the Spirit's Life: A Cosmology for Mankind's Survival in the Atomic Age of Space" (1975)

You can find them used on Amazon, but they're ridiculously expensive. I suggest searching WorldCat for a library near you, and loaning them out from there.

Ive been following this thread for quite some time now, and I will say this; KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

I have for many years now been quite fascinated with Dr. Anton LaVey and Satanism, and for me the Church of Satan sadly have been a huge disappointment because of what seems to me like a strict demand for conformity (which every LttD-member seem to dismiss because most Satanists have a wide range of interests...but how is discussing core fundaments of a beloved philosophy un-Satanic?)... But I apologize, I`m rambling here.

I really like what you people do here, because the Cos` ties with ToV has really made me lose interest in Satanism to some extent...

This has been my line of thought:

"If high-ranking members, who even knew Anton LaVey himself, is supporting the ToV this strong, WHAT am I NOT getting when it comes to Satanism, which I feel actually is a philosophy I could have identified with?"

And I am certain that many, many other individuals also get discouraged from even exploring more about Satanism, because of Adept/Magister Nemo and his lot, just like I am/was.....

Respect!

Last minute newsflash!

I got this email from a 'friend' at the Immortality Institute:

"I don't know if you are aware of it, but there are some serious discussions going on among the board. I also noticed that Ben Best has checked in on this. It looks like David is going to be asked to vacate his leadership position; at least that's the way it's shaping up so far. I think it's very important for the legitimate life extension community, both ImmInst and the Cryonics world, to divorce themselves thoroughly from the ToV. I suspect that is what you want as well. In order to avoid damage to the Institute, cryonics, and the very concept of life extension, I think that you should not go public with this, although that could be held in abeyance as a threat. The important thing is to get the committed leaders both here and in the cryonics community to be fully aware of the actions and nature of the ToV, and the extent to which their members overlap with us. I think once that is clear among all of the leadership, they will make the right decisions. The best way for you to play this is to present yourself as calm and factual, and not vindictive. Don't make it an "anti-David" stance, but rather a prudent unmasking of the truth. Try to present yourself as being on the side of the life extension movement, otherwise people may think that you are trying to harm it. Try to ignore any insults you may get, as those are very likely to be coming from people who are not yet fully informed.

Best of Luck
*****

@Lu Lang-

Wow. So the ToV can no longer affiliate with the Cryonics Institute - which they base their entire Dayside philosophy around. Wonderful!

Now they have to solely rely on their wacky Nightside philosophy thus damaging their credibility among CoS members and intelligent people alike.

This was the way it used to be until CoS became actively involved with the Temple so heavily - and absolutely NO ONE, except new age types they attracted from the back page of the tabloid ads they would post took them seriously.

This is indeed a great victory! Hail Satan!
