I don't see the resemblance either. His nose and his lips are two major features that don't really add up. Aren't there biological tests they can do to prove this? Then again, they'd probably fight to NOT have any done, because then that would falsify their claims.

The guy in those pictures does have sort of a general similarity in looks to the Lizard King, but he doesn't resemble JM any more than, say, I do.
I guess anybody would change appearance in 30 years, and the tip of the nose does tend to enlarge with age in many people.
The biggest obstacle to making their case, though, is that Morrison is definitely dead. It isn't one of those "iffy" cases like that of Amelia Earhart, where no one ever found the body. Dead Jim was right there in living color when he checked out.

In 1969, Morrison was charged with public drunkeness, obscenity, feigning acts of masturbation and fellatio, and indecent exposure. This would have gotten him 10 years in jail. Add to that he was facing more than 20 paternity suits and he did what any intellegent rock star would do... he fled to Paris with his common law wife, Pamela Courson.

July 3, 1971 Morrison was found dead (but freshly shaved) in their bathtub. He was 27.

Here is where things get muddy.

Morrison was discovered by Courson. Doors road manager was the first person who knew Morrison (other than Courson) who got to the apartment. He found an already sealed coffin and a death certificate for Jim. Courison couldn't remember the name of the doctor who signed it (not unreasonable if you ask me). The cause of death was listed as a heart attack but no police report was filed nor was an autopsy performed. Both are standard procedure in Paris at the time.

When Courson filed the death certificat papers at the US embassy (on the day of the funeral) she told the file clerk that Jim had no surviving relatives. This let the certificate be processed that day and the funeral went as scheduled. Jim's mother, father and two siblings were alive and well in Arlington, Virginia.

Jim had been quoted many times as saying he wanted to start over and not be in the public eye. On the flip side, he was known to have an obsession with death and death images so the idea of him commiting suicide isn't out of the question. There were persistant rumors that a heroin overdose was the cause of death but there are no accounts of him ever touching the stuff before this point (plenty of alchohol though, the man could drink).

O.K., first let me say that I of course don't think it's him. The only thing I'm debating is the resemblance. I, personally, saw similarites right away. That image from the L.A. Woman album is burned into my head, and what especially stands out in famous that pic. is his strong jaw line. (And yes, I do think he's hot.) If you look at the 1st picture on that tacky web site about 'Jim,' you can see that he has the same strong jaw line. If James Morrison were alive you can bet that a swarm of federal agents would be all over his ass. How's he paying his bills??? Where's that money he's spending coming from?? Why has he not filed a tax return since 1970??? You can bet the IRS would make an example of him. I don't think he would be stupid enough to reveal himself if he were alive. And if he were alive we would not be finding out on a web site were the guy who figured it out is selling a video for 29.95 or whatever he's selling it for. It would be more like you turn on your tv one evening and hear this as a lead in to the national news cast : "1960's rock icon Jim Morrison believed to have dies in Paris in 1971 was arrested by federal agents today and charged with a felony count of tax evasion and one felony count of faking his own death."

That guy aint Jim period - Jim is where he has been for the last 34 years - Pere LaChaise - and it looks like he is going to stay there because the lease on the gravesite was for 30 years and "his parents" elected to let him stay over there instead of bringing him home. The Pere LaChaise people dont want him because the grave is a "nuisance" to them regarding it's shrine status and his "parents" said that it would only be the same thing over here. So Poor Jim couldnt find peace on either side of the Atlantic it seems, his parents didnt want him, Paris didnt want him, only his devoted fans want him - and we are still here 30 odd years later.

That is not Jim Morrison! I can make anybody look like anybody else using that technique! (Remember the Jackson, 'Black and White' video? I don't believe Jim died in Paris, but I do believe he's probably dead by now. Besides, if he was going to let someone sell his image, I think he would have done it less subtlely (sp?)

He wouldn't have ever let her gone through that and where the fuck is he getting money from then? JAMES D MORRISON, Mar 1949, 2491 BIEHN ST KLAMATH FALLS, OR. He's listed as 5 1/2 years younger than the singer though. Probably a different person though. It's easier to change your name then your birthdate. One takes a court the other a fake birth certificate and paper trail.
