Double-Sided Laptop Display

image The eBay seller of this laptop with two display screens claims that his strange invention is the "most exciting and freshest idea to hit the technology market." True, I've definitely been in situations where this would have come in handy. But the fatal flaw in the idea is that it doesn't do anything which a projection device or video output port wouldn't do just as well, for a lot cheaper. Which leaves one wondering if this guy seriously believed that anyone would offer him $850,000 for this invention, or whether it was all just a joke.

Quite obviously a hoax. That's a picture of two laptops. You can see the keyboard on the one on the right on the backside of the picture. Someone photoshopped the image of the desktop from the first onto the back of the monitor of the second. Plus, you can't patent a feature which already exists and as you point out laptops already have duel monitor capability.

To have a double sided screen could be a wonderful idea, specially when one wishes to communicate with the person sitting on the other side of the table and convey or show what he has typed or presented on his screen or at the grocery store, the salesman communicates with the buyer without loss of time. In addition it should be possible to blank the screen when the operator of laptop does not wish to share the information
