Loch Ness Monster Seen?

I'm posting this message from Paris, France. So far I've been finding it very hard to get onto the internet, but when I turned on my laptop in my hotel room I discovered that someone nearby is running an open wireless network (it's definitely not the hotel... I think it's the cafe on the corner).

Anyway, when I visited Loch Ness a few days ago I didn't think I had seen the monster, until I later examined the pictures I had taken. Then I noticed this mysterious object on the Loch that I didn't see while taking the picture. Perhaps it's just a small boat... or perhaps it's Nessie. Hmmm. image

By the way, if you ever stay in Loch Ness, skip the Loch Ness Lodge. It's a tourist trap. Opt for the Benleva Hotel instead. That's where the locals hang out. It's also got a great restaurant. I had kangaroo meat for dinner there (kangaroo meat in Loch Ness!!).

a bit of a weird ship for a boat

Hmm person who commented on the 15th of september, your blonde right.
If you were to even attempt at proper english, you would have writen.
it's a bit of a wierd shape for a boat. i assume of course you intended for this to occur.
Moron
anyway the image isn't of high enough quality to enchance the photo enough to get a proper view of the object. Hence if you like it could be nessie.
Or it could be just be my uncle jack on his fishing boat.

Nice try at being an arsehole. But the word is "weird" not "wierd".
Posted by Matthieu  on  Thu Sep 16, 2004  at  02:17 AM
Try to be civil, 'dope'. There's no need to call anyone a moron. Anyway, of course it's probably a boat. The posting was mostly tongue-in-cheek... though I really did only notice it there when I looked at the picture later.

Alex, did you manage to get down to the edge of the loch? It's quite steep, isn't it? When I got there I took one look at the hillside and said to hell with Nessie! 😊
Posted by Dawn  on  Thu Sep 16, 2004  at  05:37 AM
Maybe you took a picture of an escaping Kangaroo!

Funny thing is dope's English is not good either. I count 13 spelling and grammatical errors.

Which brings us to the old saying:

"It's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt"

This holds especially true when dispensing unsolicited advice.

The dot looks real enough, but why does it have a giant purple ring around it?
Posted by john  on  Thu Sep 16, 2004  at  04:17 PM
Ha,ha...excellent Loxotron
Service known as BOF(Bureau Of Fakes)?
Posted by Paul  on  Thu Sep 16, 2004  at  05:54 PM
"Giant" purple ring? I wouldn't be suprised if that ring was actually drawn on the camera lense! It just doesn't look like a real purple ring.

That's brilliant, Loxotron. It's amazing what can be done with computer enhancement nowadays. 😜

Posted by spike03  on  Fri Sep 17, 2004  at  01:47 PM
I'm surprised that nobody's noticed this.

It's obviously a killer shark come in search of the one who hunted and killed his mate. 🙄

Of course, according to Ed Wood, Loch Ness is inhabited by giant freshwater octopuses.

I was extremely tired when I made my comment. Just looks like a diagonal line to me . . .
Posted by Ariel  on  Sat Sep 18, 2004  at  08:50 PM
Actually, I think it's a red circle... hehe.
Posted by Mathieu Plante  on  Sat Sep 18, 2004  at  10:56 PM
I've been to Loch Ness. There is no Nessie. They even admit it at the Loch Ness exhibition by the lake. Why is everyone picking on your circle?
Don't stay in any hotel near the Loch, stay at a B & B in Inverness - at least your close to town then.

That's not a picture of Nessie...
It's a Kangaroo escaping.

Maybe it's the rabbit that guy threatened to eat at Christmas....
Posted by Mark  on  Mon Sep 20, 2004  at  01:29 PM
It's not Nessie.

My mate's friend knows somebody who swears it's the Luna landing module - he's seen it and everything.

Maybe it's Ted Jesus Christ God practicing his walking on water bit.

Hey john, are you so bored now that Alex is gone that you have nothing else better to do than harrass people who are just harmlessly goofing around on his blog?

I know how to catch Nessy - the answer is - Pop Rocks candies. Just put some food in the lake that will generate lot of CO2 in Nessy's belly.

Much of what is being displayed in Loch Ness are unfortunately hoaxes, perpretrated by either the business mafia in Drumnadrochit or Adrian Shine, who are deceiving the world that he is a scientist when he in reality is a former printer from London with no academical education at all. GUST reveals the truth about the Loch Ness Monster on our homepage at http://www.cryptozoology.st
Posted by Jan Sundberg  on  Sat Nov 13, 2004  at  03:14 AM
Yup,it's a kangaroo in a motor boat.
:gulp:
It might be Nessie.... But it might be a boat too.

I also see a fainter dot somewhat to the left of the red circle...That's probably just a boat, though.

Just saw an episode of World Famous Hoaxes on Discovery Channel which included one regarding Loch Ness - a father/son team had created a rubber coated monster like prop and had engineered it to bob up and down - they would put her in the lake early in the morning before tourists would show up, do their magic and would pull her out at night. First several attempts she capsized and they were almost unable to turn her upright. It was amazing how they pulled it off - tourists were just amazed and grabbing for the cameras in disbelief. So funny, but actully pretty realistic looking creature they designed.. Its a wonder not more than just a few people try to fool us - wouldn't it be quite funny if several "monsters" started to surface about the same time - wouldn't that just blow the minds of not only the Scottish but everyone around the world - ???

You're all wrong, Gentlemen! What's been photographed is GARY CAMPBELL floating on his back with a case of strong beer on his belly!

Isn't it weird and fake???!!!
Posted by NONEEDTONO  on  Wed Jan 11, 2006  at  02:35 PM
I say it's nessie, I believe it's actauly refered-or should be, refered to as pleseosauras. (sp?) (Yes i'm a christain) When Noah took all the LAND creatures on to the ark he left the WATER creatures in the sea, including the dolphin and fish. After the flood those creatures were still alive because they lived in the water and i think that included the pleseosauras (sp?). And it survived the flood and is now alive today along with all the other sea creatures that we see today. Just post me a question if you whant to know more what I have to say (And don't make em' hard I'm only 12)
Posted by blacksteed  on  Tue Jul 25, 2006  at  10:36 AM
Nessy is a true champion!!!!!! Oh umm i think Noah left the WATER animals in the water because if he took them out they would die with a loss of oxygen. duh.
