Most people think the musician Jim Morrison, lead singer for the Doors, died in Paris on July 3, 1971. But Gerald Pitts says that he "discovered Jim Morrison Living on a Ranch in the Pacific Northwest in the summer of 1998." According to him, Morrison is living a quiet life as an American cowboy "away from the Hollywood scene." Even though Morrison evidently engineered an elaborate death hoax to escape publicity, he agreed to appear on film for Pitts. You can buy a copy of this film for only $24.95 (shipping is extra). Pitts' site includes a video comparing the features of Jim Morrison the fifty-something cowboy to Jim Morrison the twenty-something singer. However, no matter how many times I watch the video, I just don't see any similarity.

The DCM has run into more bureaucratic BS in the State of Florida! Some things never change... It appears that we now need to file court papers in order to get Jim's case in front of the committee that can absolve Morrison of the ridiculous charges brought upon him in 1969. And just a reminder: We are interested in more than an apology; we want his record expunged, that is, removed entirely. This is what Jim Morrison deserves.
Nothing is as simple as it seems. Although reports say that 85% of people surveyed are in support of the Governor moving forward with an absolution, a small 15% doesn't consider Morrison's case to be a priority and feel that the Governor should deal with other issues. We need help

Thanks for writing again.Some people say that the guy on the website looks like Jim, others say they don't.On the Museum of Hoaxes website, a professional at this confirmed that the two faces medically match up.Also, on youtube I posted a transparency of the famous pic and put it over a photo from the website(which I had made through a company called Photomax) and they were pretty darn close to a perfect match.
Gerald Pitts is very hard to work with at times. He strikes me as an old fashioned stubborn cowboy. But he is good. He believes in God, doesn't believe in drugs or alcohol, and since Jim Morrison trusted him I guess we have to to. : ). I try I try I try!
There was a time when FOX and major networks went up to Oregon and actually met Jim. Basically they wanted exclusive rights to him and he told them to get lost and they told him he doesn't exist.I was on the famous Mancow radio show 2 weeks ago and Gerald has been on dozens of radio shows including Coast to Coast AM.
I think DNA is a very serious test and more for to determine evidence in a horrendous crime rather that whether a celebrity is real.Jim doesn't prove that he is Jim until the media proves they will bring his story out in a positive light.Remember, before Jim "died" he met with producers and they wanted to make a movie about him being a "burnt out" rock star and he told them to shove it.
The DOORS wanted to keep this secret but it is too late. Some guy named Lonnie from the Lizard Lounge actually called Gerald yesterday. Also, I have talked to Cliff Morrison, Jim's son and he has become quite interested in this story. Quite interested.
