On Friday Aug 15 a
press conference is scheduled in Palo Alto to present evidence suggesting that the corpse of a Bigfoot has been found in Georgia. DNA evidence and photo evidence will be presented. (Thanks to everyone who emailed me about this.)
I'd just like to go on record before the press conference to predict that it's going to be a hoax. Bigfoot hasn't been found. Why? Because if a Bigfoot species existed in North America, it would have been found long ago. To remain hidden this long, the Bigfoot species would need to have supernatural abilities.
The evidence that's been leaked so far in support of the Bigfoot Body consists of a photo of what looks like a Bigfoot costume stuffed into a freezer.
Already the "Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization" is
claiming that "The Georgia *Bigfoot Body* story is a hoax orchestrated by a veteran media hoaxer named Tom Biscardi."

But the sad truth is that if they are out there, there are very, very few of them, and they'll probably silently go extinct without ever truly being uncovered. Which is the same net result as if they never existed. Either way, it will make the world a little less interesting.
"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof." - Carl Sagan
I'm not buying any of it.
I live on the coast in Northern Oregon. In fact, I live in the county in which part of the TV show Ax Men is filmed. There's a LOT of forest around here. A guy could get some kind of fur suit and simulate, shall we say, a Bigfoot sighting, couldn't he?
Just sayin'.
So, anyone got a Bigfoot outfit lying around?
I grew up in a trailer park near Mt. Hood called Bigfoot Lodge. There was a mannequin that someone had glued a bunch of fur on and stashed in the woods behind the place. The thing in the freezer in the photo doesn't look much more convincing. They clearcut those woods a decade ago.
That said, Tom Biscardi has quite a reputation for being associated with bigfoot hoaxes. Just his name appearing in this announcement destroys all credibility.
Of course, the old "we got it in this box but we can't show you" dodge screams "FAKE" at full volume! If you have it, show it, instead of showing people that claimed they looked in the box!
the body is FAKE containing opposumm DNA but will be tested more

Looks like that to me...
"Hey, dude I think we just ran over a opossum"
"You know, I just thought of a great hoax"
"What?"
"Lets put the organs of the possum in the suit then put the suit in a cooler, then air it on tv and say we found "bigfoot"..That will make our website crash, and bring the ka-ching!"
"Also in the Pacific Northwest there are many more microorganisms which are not found elsewhere which would decompose the bodies of the creatures much faster which explains the lack of many bodies because many Bigfoot sightings are in the pacific Northwest, which is why we were so fortunate to find this well preserved speciman which is readily available for DNA testing among the scientific community."
Apparently, our local Pacific Northwest micro-organisms have the ability to turn a Bigfoot into what looks like a ratty Halloween costume with some raccoon guts on top of it stuffed into a styrofoam container. Thems some POWERFUL micro-organisms.
"Bigfoot exists it's as simple as that"
Really? Where is the simple proof?
"and about Bigfoot having supernatural powers I actually believe that to be very possible"
Ahh...should we maybe apply Occam's Razor here?
"when this body turns out to be real I will be able to rejoice in the accomplishment of my lifelong dreams"
Now I see your problem. Don't get your hopes up too soon. I suspect you are another Rene Dahinden, Canada's famous sasquatch hunter.

You have taken the position that you will believe no matter what. In fact your position has become so desperate you have to convince yourself Bigfoot has supernatural origins and cannot be harmed by bullets.
Most here on this site do deny some things instantly, things that are highly improbable in particular. That's the way skepticism works. Remember, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. A man-like creature that evades detection for centuries certainly qualifies as extraordinary. If some concrete evidence is ever presented, I'm sure most people here would be willing to accept the existence of Bigfoot. We're still waiting however.
I say it's a fake. You, obviously, believe it's real. How do we settle this dispute?
Also--- Bigfoot supernatural? Disappearing is physically impossible. Being immune to bullets? If the creature is immune to physical harm, then how was this "corpse" found in the first place? I just can't understand how a person could believe things like this. It's one thing for a child to believe, but I assume you are an adult-- perhaps only so in body....

"And we know god exists but there's no proof."
That makes at least two things you're wrong about. We DON'T "know" that God exists. Many people BELIEVE God exists but that is NOT the same thing as KNOWING, no matter how sincere the belief.

No disrespect intended, but that makes absolutely no sense at all to me. Even without the odd grammar bit.
