Splat What does this photograph depict? I have no idea. A real person? A photoshop trick? A rubber model? Your guess is as good as mine. All I know is that it began circulating around the internet sometime around 2000. If you have any insight into the origin of this picture, let me know. Update: July 8, 2003. My question has been answered! This is a picture of a sculpture created by the British artist John Isaacs. It's a fibre-glass representation of a naked, obese female woman who has fallen over and can't get up. Apparently Isaacs specializes in these kinds of very lifelike sculptures depicting bizarre things that often shock viewers. A few examples of some of his other works can be seen here. There's no digital manipulation involved with this photograph, but because it seems to depict something (an obese woman fallen over) that is not actually the case, I'm labelling it a hoax photo.
