"Just before the elections, prices go down. After the elections, prices go back up" - Chris
So you're saying that elections are based on gas prices?
Get a clue, the presidential candidates have no effect on gas prices, if they DID, it would be a HUGE part of every campaign platform. They wouldn't shut up about it. |

Arbusto Energy and Bush Exploration. They merged with Spectrum 7 and Bush was given $2.6 million in stock options, plus an average of $81,000 a year salary. Then, Spectrum 7 was bought by Harken Corporation. In '87, it was having some financial trouble, and recieved $25 million from the United Bank of Switzerland in return for stock interest. Then Bush left the oil business and sold 2/3 of his stocks for $848,560. Not as much as they were originally worth, but still a 0 profit. Also, Dick Cheney was CEO of Halliburton, one of the world's largest oil companies. |

That's proof?
How about a link or two to support this?
What does all of this financial crap that you're talking about have to do with the price of gas? Answer: nothing.
Like I said, if he really had any personal control over the price of gas, the conniving shit would use it as a campaign platform.
"Who sets the price of oil? It is from where we import the oil. It is Saudi Arabia. It is Venezuela. It is Mexico" -
<a href="http://www.tipponline.com/articles/00/congress.htm">Alaskan Congressman speech.</a>
The countries that the US buys oil from set their prices. The US does not set the oil price for them, as much as they would like to.

""Not as much as they were originally worth, but still a 0 profit" Sorry, typo. Meant 0 profit."
"Ok, two hundred percent profit. It won't let me use percent symbol and numbers." - Chris
So that line should read "Not as much as they were originally worth, but still a 200 percent profit"? |
Chris

This "financial crap" shows that the Bush administration has huge oil interests. All of the Bush information can be found at http://www.famoustexans.com/georgewbush.htm
Also, Harken, which purchased Bush's company, drilled in Texas, meaning WE set the price, because it is U.S. oil.
No, Chris is not Christopher Cole, and yes, it means 200 percent profit |

So, how does any of this financial crap affect the price of oil?
Bush manipulated the price of oil by selling his interests in the oil industry? Huh?
What happened when Iraq was attacked? The price of oil went up. So would it not have made sense for him to hold on to his oil holdings and therefore make way more money?
"Not as much as they were originally worth, but still a 200 percent profit"?
So you're saying that he sold them at a loss, but still at a 200 percent profit?
Do me a favor, and let me know what colour the sky is on your planet.
And if "WE" (meaning the Americans) set the price, what the hell are you complaining about? Set it lower and shut up. Problem solved. |

A slight correction to Rod's thorough, slam dunk, no punches pulled, call 'em as he sees 'em, merciless lambasting of Chris:
The price of oil is not set by the country selling it. It is one world price determined by world supply vs world demand. |

Very true, Captain Al. For some strange reason, chris didn't pick up on that...
I know that the country selling it does not set the price, OPEC does. At least for now. (But then again, OPEC IS made up of the countries selling the oil.) But yes, they still have to bow to consumer demand when setting their price.
I was just expanding on the speech of the Alaskan congressman that I had left the link for.
It seemed easier than trying to explain how the price of oil is actually set. I guess I could have just sent him to Wikipedia. |

John Candy, Rick Moranis, Dave Thomas, Eugene Levy, and Joe Flaherty. Yeah, all prime examples of Canadian beauty...
😜
Of course, there's always Natasha Henstridge, Lois Maxwell (Miss Moneypenny from Dr.No), Anna Paquin, and Jennifer Tilly (once you mute it, anyway...), Neve Campbell, Kim Cattrall, and let me not forget (Please!) Carrie-Anne Moss |

Oh yeah Raoul,
I forgot what a hunk of burnin' stud love you are... you would turn them all away wouldn't you. Because they're all below your standards... NOT! You be on your knees so fast your pocket protector would still be hovering in mid-air! Oh lets' not forget the fact that all these horrible sounding pieces of trailer trash probably don't earn near the cash Mr. Raoul makes in a week huh?
😏
Between the fat bank account and the look... who gives a shit what they sound like!
As for Rod's additions to the list...
Natasha - So hot I watch the goofiest TV show of all-time (She Spies)
Anna - Definately smokin' but I still feel guilty for thinking so after "knowing" her from such an early age.
Jennifer - I could think of a couple fun ways to mute that one, but it wouldn't even be totally necessary... you know, because of the view.
Neve - Gotta love that scene with Denise Richards!
Carrie & Kim - Both total hotties!
Lois - Not familiar with her but will look it up now that you've mentioned it.
Like I said before... they sure know how to breed em in Canada... and I'm thankful that none of them are good enough for old Raoul... leaves more for us to enjoy. |

No Rod,
I was referring to "Winona" of Museum of Hoaxes fame. She's a regular poster like us... although I won't go on record as to how "regular / normal" we all are here.
Because no matter how hard nerdy little Raoul tries to convince me that he's "too sexy for his shirt, too sexy for himself, too sexy for this world, too sexy for mere mortal women" I don't buy it... and his refusal to admit the obvious is abnormal.
As for stealing my woman Raoul... 😊 please, give it your best shot. I will enjoy watching your attempt very much... about like you enjoy watching those nature documentaries. You know, where you get to watch the lioness hunt down the "weakling" zebra nerd and turn it into dinner. You don't want to watch the carnage... but you just can't look away.
I do appreciate you making me laugh during a crappy Monday at work though... thanks kid. Still think you'd any one of those women from that list could have their way with you... and "truth" be known that probably goes for ANY woman. As I've found in my life experience that those who talk the biggest game, talk game for a reason, because they have no actual playing time. Get my meaning??? Doubt it... but oh well. Canadian bacon still rules... whether you eat it or not!

So I question your "actual" experience with "the ladies" and you in turn question my sexual orientation. 😊 Whatever dude, fact is you said..."Oh they're not good enough for me." And I said bullshit and called you out on it.
Something else life experience has taught me is that those who most overtly attack / ridicule / joke about "homosexuality" are usually the ones who still haven't "admitted" to themselves, much less the rest of us, what they're actual "preference" is... is there something you'd like to tell us Raoul???
