No, not a scap, even though I have no idea what a 'scap' is. I imagine it's not a good thing...or is it? |

Ah...good, I thought that was some new kind of lingo I'm not privy to. I personaly don't mess with any "Get a ____ free now!" things on the screen. To many times I went for it and completely wasted my oh-so-valuable and precious time.(Lol) They either want you to buy something first, or some other crap I just don't want or need to do, buy, fill out, or whatever, so I pass all that right on up. I might be missing out on something, but really I don't care. |

Can anyone explain to me, why these companies encourage advertising on ebay when eBay prohibits it? Please read the following quote from ebay's listing policies "MatrixPrograms: listings of business models that involve the exchange of money primarily for being added to a waiting list for a product, if the person at the top of the list receives a product only once a set number of people have joined below him or her. Listings or advertisements for such programs will be ended. Repeat violations may result in the suspension of a user's account". For more information on this ebay policy go to ebay's help and type the word "matrix". I received a warning from ebay's Safe Harbor Policy Dept. asking me to stop any advertising of matrix programs since it was a violation to their policy and my account was subject to temporary or permanent suspension, then I was referred to the policy I just quoted above.
These Matrix people need to make sure their ads are legal on ebay before encouraging us to use their form of advertising. Ebay Safe Harbor advised me that if I did not have a tangible product to offer I could not show any pictures or even describe it, also they said I could not use their system if I asked people not to bid or buy. Can some one comment on this? |

Nate,
I'm sorry about that? But what credibility do Matrix companies have if they jeopardize people's accounts on ebay? They probably know it's the fastest way to get people to buy their product. So, you can see how they don't care about us. The only thing they care is about signing up lots of people and the ebay system does it pretty well for them. I had 46 referrals in a single day, before I was warned by ebay. From those referrals they probably convinced many others to advertise and the ads chains grew longer and longer. I posted ads elsewhere and the results are not even significant. Ebay is their main source of business, that's why they encourage people to use it even when they know is not allowed on ebay. |

I was reading these forums and just wanted to let you all now, yes this really works. I received my $430 from getgiftsforfree.com just today and was amazed. I couldn't beleive it, but the only downside is that this entire thing could eventually collapse. Good Luck |

Dear guys:
I was temptated to go after those free gifts posted on both sites because is a tremendous opportunity to get a $1700 asset for a few bucks, so I dropped here on your forum trying to get information about this offer, which is suspicious indeed because no one gives nothing for free.
After reading your comments I looked at the lists on both sites, trying to figure out how do they do it.
Well, it is simple. Remember math classes when you learned about arithmetical series, a quantity which is added every time by a constant factor. Let's explain it with the next example:
Every laptop is shipped after 80 new customers joined the list, so the first on the list has to wait for other 79 customers to join to receive his computer. The second on the list has to wait for 78 new customers to ship the laptop for the one after him and other 80 for his own. The third has to wait for 77 to join, for the first's laptop, 80 for the second's and other 80 more for his own, and this process is repeated on and on indefinitely. So the 80th person who produces the shipping for the first has to wait for 79*80=6320 persons to join after receiving his own laptop, that is why this person has not received his own yet, despite of being on the first track.
If yow want to know how many more you have to wait to join to get your own laptop, multiply 80 by the number of people ahead of you who have not received yet their own.
Every time a new member joins his chance to receive the gift is smaller, because his waiting time increases by the rate of 80. Therefore the waiting time for the last in the queue tends to the eternity.
This is pretty disencouraging for potential new customers, so the list eventually stops growing and they will not have the obligation to ship a new laptop, which after all is only a gift to say thanks.
Final word:
I don't think we can call this sort of scam a "pyramid", it seems to me more than a "snake" or a "worm", with a growing tail where the head runs faster than the rear end.
Personally I don't recomend any one to join any of those lists, because the chance to get your expected gift is almost zero if you are not among the firsts.
Smart way to get money out from our pockets.
Gustavo
PS: Sorry if I my english was not correct enough. |

Hello All,
I was on EBAY looking for laptops and came across this add for a $40 laptop. It seems that the seller was selling the url to the power2source website with their referral number. Okay, so I am a dummy and went for it. I paid $19.99 for a url to allow me to pay another $40 for "something" and get my name on the list for the laptop (which I may never get). I attempted to check out the url, but it keeps coming up "not found" (could be busy I guess). Anyway, I just wondered if all of you advertising on EBAY were charging for the url.
Thanks,
Edward |

One way to get your referral link seen by others is one of those traffic programs.
It lets others see your link while you look at other peoples links
this is the one I use ww.ts25.com/index.jsp?ref=winter
check it out.... |

The site doesn't work based on referrals
Based on your performance it will place u in the downline with people below u who act as your referrals. You don't get anything from referrals I think.
Take a look at their presentation |
