Skinny Women

Here are two images going around that feature skeletally skinny women. The image of the woman on the beach is captioned "I think I've changed my mind about 'fat chicks'" and the image of the woman walking is captioned "Implants last forever." They could be real, but given how easy it is to fake images like this (see Too Skinny), I suspect they're photoshopped.

It would be interesting to see these skinny women playing hockey where checking is allowed... is it sick that that was the first thing to come to my mind?

The pic of the woman on the beach has been up on Snopes for a while, with and "undetermined" status.
Posted by Smerk  on  Thu Aug 25, 2005  at  08:58 PM
Did anyone notice that in the background of the beach pic is a "fat chick"?

An aquaintance of mine, Patty was just as thin as the gal on the beach chair minus the tan. The only thing photoshopped is the text. Patty died of Anorexia about 12 years ago. And that is what the end result looks like.

Yes, it is possible to be that skinny...but be that skinny and get out of bed, put on a swimming suit, collect beach stuff, drive to the beach, walk to the chair, position the chair, lay down, blah blah blah...no.

I have been that skinny, and I didn't get out of bed until they put me on a feeding tube for a week.

The jogger: could be real. I suspect she's not nearly as old as she looks, as anorexia tends to do that to your face.

I was thinking similarly to what Jett posted. I have seen people that skinny in hospitals and refugee/prisoner of war camps. But I didn't think they'd have the energy to get to the beach - someone could have set it up, and she could have had help getting out to the chair...but who knows?

Somebody needs to send her a Krispy Kreme care package ASAP.

anyone else find it desturbing that one of those images is named "Implantslastforever_lg.jpg"? lol

btw, I would have to think this is real, since I've known a girl once that used to throw up food, and was sooo worried about her weight, that she almost died... well she wasn't too far off from looking just like that... lol

As I see some people here believe these are real

Looking at the picture of the woman in the jogging outfit reminded me of a few segments I saw on Entertainment Tonight about a woman named Melissa DeHart. I remember seeing a lot of video of her wearing the same things (the shorts and the visor). It could be her, probably not...but it could be.
Check out some of the stories about her on the ET website

Yes the picture is for real the location is south beach miami, i was there on that day and noticed her

the woman on the right looks like an elderly woman i've seen several times in ketchum, idaho. she is obviously wealthy, has breast implants (and facial plastic surgery, like big lips and cheekbones, face lift, etc), and dresses like a girl in her 20's, often in shorts and halter tops. she looks ghastly. :/

*sarcastic* its real nice to see what the media and what others say do to women, to be that skinny, to give them that message...

its really pathetic.

can someone feed a steak to these women?
Posted by Eva  on  Sat Feb 11, 2006  at  07:18 PM
these pictures look very real, sad as it is.
i've seen women who look like this, and many similar pictures on websites that deal with eating disorders.
i don't feel it is something to make fun of.
anorexia has the highest death rate of any mental disorder. it really messes up the chemicals in your head and distorts your thinking, as you aren't getting nutrition to feed your cells. an endless spiral downward that often ends in death.

i honestly never thought people could be that skinny.

This is what happens when many obsess(SP?) over their bodies too, TOO much.

WHY HAVEN"T YOU PEOPLE GIVEN THEM A GODDAMN STEAK?
Posted by Eva  on  Tue Mar 07, 2006  at  05:58 PM
Just today I saw a woman that looked remarkably like the woman on the left, but older and more tan. She was walking down hollywood blvd. How she can move, I don't know, but it was terrifying.

To Michael.

Please don't classify all white people as "always doing something crazy." because its not true, not all white people are crazy

Becuase of women like this, naturally skinny women get aweful looks and are accused of the desease. Unless the women you are seeing everyday are as skinny as the women above dont asume. i dont ask every fat ckick i see why she is so fat.

I know no one meant to do this to hurt, but this is a picture of my Mom ... she was anoerixic/schitzophrenic but she was my mom. She died on Christmas day 2003. please remove these pictures. I would so much appreciate it ... It hurts alot ... She was many things but she was a great mother
Posted by Tmcgary  on  Tue Mar 27, 2007  at  01:15 AM
I forgot to tell you which picture - it's the one on the beach. Thank you
Posted by Tmcgary  on  Tue Mar 27, 2007  at  10:40 AM
they're both fake, i know anorexics and being one myself, i know the first woman would be hospitalised if that was real and the arms are well done but i can tell the difference. the second one is laughably fake! look at her stomach! it has a fat roll, and yet the rest of her is skin and bone. if she was that thin she would be flat chested! look at nicole richie!

wow EAT A MILKSHAKE!!!! OR BETTER YET GO TO MCDONALD'S!!!!
Posted by raeraeluvsjack  on  Mon Jun 25, 2007  at  11:12 AM
1 leg looks bigger than the other on the jogger
Posted by raeraeluvsjack  on  Mon Jun 25, 2007  at  11:14 AM
Hi All!
The photo of the jogger is REAL! I see her all the time in Palm Springs, she walks all over the city looking exactly like that - SUPER SKINNY!
No photoshop at all.
Guaranteed!

I see my Mom's picture is still here. Maybe it's a reminder that you really CAN be too thin. And I notice another comment about the photo's being fake/photoshopped........... So, I will post AGAIN - IT IS NOT photo shopped. She really WAS that thin and she NEVER saw herself for how she really was. She exercised everyday, for fear of becoming fat. It is a sickness.................. And I miss her more than I can say.

i don't think these pictures are fake at all.
as a matter of fact;i knew a woman who was bulimic.
and she looked even worse.

in the beginning she was normal sized.
maybe even a little on the chubby side.
in the end she was only skin and bones.

she has been admitted to a special clinic for eating disorders.
she even has been admitted to a hospital several times for being to severely underwheight (1,7 metre's and 38 kilo's)

i haven't seen her for a while, but the last time i saw here, the term 'living skeleton' would certainly be fitting.
