Richard Brown was under house arrest after posing as a sheriff's deputy in 2002, but even from his home he still managed to get into trouble.
The news article describing what he did is a little confusing, but from what I can gather he called up restaurants and told the employees that he spoke to that he was a DJ, and that if they came to his home they could win $50,000. Once they arrived he told them that they had to pass a challenge to win the money. They had to strip naked, then walk out to their car and drive away. He got two people to do this. The third person noticed he was wearing a home detention bracelet. A court has now charged Brown with three counts of criminal confinement and three counts of identity deception. I just find it amazing that he could talk people into doing this stuff so easily.

Easily? Maybe not. We don't know how many people he had to call before he got two of them to take the bait. After all, Mr. Brown had plenty of time on his hands.
Did I say two? Wait a minute, at the end of the news article it says, "Brown still faces trial on 14 more felony charges stemming from similar incidents involving seven more men. That case is scheduled for a pretrial hearing April 18."
Personally, I think he's getting a bum rap. Nobody seems to be saying that he actually hurt anybody or stole anything-- he just made these guys look foolish, something these particular individuals should be accustomed to by now.
It's a little creepy yeah, but these dumbasses who think that a radio station would:
-Give away 50K for a stunt involving public nudity
-or operate ANY promotion from someone's home
-or not have publicity going on for a 50K stunt
are so stupid they deserve what they got! Think a little folks... the real deal should have been obvious! And probably was to most, because like Gary said... who knows how many others he tried this on before finding these doofuses, or is that doofi?
