Anti-Radiation Scarf

image This may be perfectly legitimate, but it seems a little hoaxy to me. It's an anti-cellphone-radiation scarf. "The scarf makes it easy to keep an effective shielding between your cell phone and your skin. Thus your body tissue will not absorbe radiation from the cell phone. Scarfs from handy-fashions.com are fancy and at the same time the most effective protection against microwaves." Like I said, maybe this thing actually works. Maybe wrapping your head in a silver scarf really will shield you from microwave radiation. But it seems rather aluminum-foil-detector-beanie-like to me.

Whether or not it shields you from cell phone radio waves (which are called radiation to scare people who don't know the difference between ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, which works because people are stoopid) is irrelevant in the fact of the complete and utter lack of evidence to suggest that such radio waves are dangerous in any way whatsoever.

It's snake oil, pure and simple.

So people would rather look like goons than just give up their precious celphones due to health risks?

Of course those health risks aren't true, but if they're buying the scarves, they obviously don't know that. 😝

Most people that use cell phones enough to be concerned have long since graduated to hands-free earpieces or headsets anyway.

If not, they deserve what they get (whatever that might be!).

i thought only the first cell phones that you carried in brief cases in the 1980s gave you cancer

Maybe it actually works the other way around and cancer gives you cell phones.
