Number Two Appears in Eye of Hurricane

image Viewers of NBC2 saw something strange during the station's coverage of Hurricane Wilma. In the Doppler loop video of the storm coming ashore, the number two suddenly appeared in the eye of the hurricane, formed momentarily by the swirling clouds. The number is so perfectly shaped that it seems like it has to be fake (some form of over-the-top station self-identification). But apparently it's real. The station swears that the image hasn't been altered, and they've provided a link to a NOAA image of the storm [the link is now dead] to prove that the number two really did briefly form in the eye of the storm. I'm sure that Scott Stevens will claim this is proof that the Yakuza really are creating hurricanes.

You're right. It no longer works. It seemed to still be working for me, but I was really only seeing the image stored in my browser's cache. Unfortunately I didn't save the image. But it was there.

Right click is disabled on that tv newsstation's page too. The one whose station logo has a 2 in it that is stylized remarkably like the 2 in the hurricane eye.

Yeah, its a real photoshop job.

If they photoshopped it, then they had to photoshop the NOAA image too. And I swear I saw it (when the link was still working), and it looked like a 2. It's just an example of a chance cloud formation.

Definitely looks fake to me. The "2" is abosolutely not moving in the same patterns as any of the other clouds.

The two seems to be moving normally to me and it does look different to the 2 in their logo (a verticle line before the bottom line not a diagonal) now i can't see the NOAA image but i don't see anything to tell me it's not real.

Nature can do some freaky things.

Okay, here's NOAA's image of the 2. It's not as clear as the image from NBC2, but the accuweather guy explains that "For the most part, everyone uses the same radar data from the same radar hardware, but depending on what color scale the radar picture is using, and whether or not software attempts to remove low-decibel 'ground clutter' returns, the 2 is more clear on some radar images than others."

In other words, yeah, the "2" is fake. Some clouds have been taken out and others added to make the figure into a "2." My name is Errol Flynn if you just take some letters out, add others, and rearrange them a bit.

I'm a resident of Southwest Florida & was fortunate enough to not lose power during Hurricane Wilma. I speak without hesitation when saying that I witnessed the "2" on live television. It's not a hoax.

How can it be fake when I watched it on LIVE coverage as the hurricane was hitting my home town? I didn't beleive it myself at first, and probably wouldn't beleive it now if i hadn't seen it first hand.

Right clicking has always been disabled on the website, it's a copyright protection. NBC-2 is a professional newscasting company, they wouldn't mess around with said sensitive subjects when they are the primary newscasting channel in the most-heavily damaged areas on the west-coast.

and it didn't appear 'momentarily', it only looks momentariliy in GIF loops - if you check times on radar scan (last link) you'll see that it lasted about an hour...

At http://www.bible-codes.org, Dean Coombs says that Wilma had 2 eyes (vortex) when it was a Category 5. Which was a Sign from God (Jesus) that the End-of-this-Age is very close. Jesus wrote the "2" in the eye, which refers to Wilma's 2 eyes (we think). And the Second Coming of Christ is very near.

The image is real. I am the News Director at Waterman Broadcasting and was in the weather center when the image came up. We have our own Doppler Radar with a much better view of any storms in the area than the NOAA radar. No everyone doesn't use the same radar. You can see the outline of the image in the NOAA shot - but image a radar much closer to the storm and scanning it at a lower level than one in Key West or Tampa.
