Jesus X-Ray

Nope, I can't see it at all.
Usually you can kind of make out some kind of hazy appearance of a face but I can't see anything here!

Looks like theres a face in the trachea area, right about where it overlays with the lungs at the top. Jesus looks like he's making the "O" face though to me.

OK, I looked at the picture in the story and in the left lung (right as you look at it, just to be clear) I can see a vague shape that might be a head and just below the bright line at the top of the lung I can see what might be an eye but that's it. I had to presume that there was an image there to see it. Maybe in the original it is clearer but in the reproduced photo - nope.

I see what he means. This picture looks very much like an X-ray of Jesus' chest.

Who says religious pictures have to be of faces?

Xray is wrong way round! Heart should be on left (as though you're looking at someone in front of you).

Forget Jesus in the lungs... what's that metal thing in the upper lobe of the left one?! (Oh, and this picture is wrong, as Edthedoc mentioned.) Is that a port or something? It's near the subclavian artery, isn't it??

I'm an x-ray tech, so I'll give ya my thoughts on it. Since I can't see a full sized image, I'm just going off the thumbnail, but honestly, I can't see anything at all, aside from it being a poor quality x-ray (there are runner marks on the film, dirty runners on the processor dryer section, a square artifact on the right side, and also another artifact on the upper right lobe). RainOubliette, I initially thought maybe that was a port, like a central line or something, but I can't see any lines running toward the heart (or anywhere, for that matter), so it just looks like an artifact, like maybe a shirt-pin the guy didn't take off before the film (but like I said, I can only see the thumbnail, so maybe there are lines, hard to tell at that scale).

Edthedoc is correct, the film is turned the wrong way, the film should be placed as if the patient is facing you, so yeah, it should be flipped.

But yeah, I can't see anything resembling a face, much less Jesus's face. The dark spot in the trachea is air in his throat as he held his breath, the white part between the lungs is the mediastium (heart shadow blur), and the little tree-branch like things coming off the sides into the lungs are bronchi. Nothing spectacular to me, that I can see.

That's my $0.02, for what it's worth.

I'm studying to be a medical lab tech right. Since I just had a class that discussed ports and that's sort of what they look like. (I have also had experience with helping my Dad care for his when he gets chemo.)

I don't see Jesus but the trachea looks sort of as if there is a snake coming up from his stomach!

Why do you all keep looking for faces?
As I told you, it's an image of Jesus' chest X-ray.

Doesn't anyone remember the movie Stargate, or the TV show SG-1? There's no face. What you think is a trachea is actually a Goa'uld parasite. What we thought was sci-fi is actually true!

Top right of the photo, in the shoulder blade, with a little imagination, you can see Christ crucified, with his head hanging to his right.

And I agree with Emidog that the said face in question is in the trachea. Think of a shrouded Jesus.

At the risk of sounding like a total jerk here, are you in any form of healthcare?

Because I am (Radiology, specifically, a.k.a X-ray, have been for 5 years).

The film should be hung the other way. So what if it's from a TV show? TV shows are notorious for getting things wrong. I know what it should look like, and it's hung backwards.

No offense was meant, I just hate people correcting me on something when I know what I'm talking about.

His heart should be on the left side, as if he was facing you face-to-face. That's the proper way to view a film.
