Eerie Ghost Video

Here's what the setup to this little piece of video says:
Supposedly this is a car commercial that never aired. I'm thinking that it is more probably a very good student project using Computer Graphics. About 2 seconds into the "commercial" notice something moving along the side of the car, like a ghostly white mist that looks humanish.
All I'm going to add is that this really, really got me.
Update: Here's another link to the movie, in case the one above is down.

I can see how it can be convincing! If you look closely enough there's a slight reflection...

That was on Tarrant on TV yesterday, I was scared for five seconds and then I burst into a fit of laughter.

That scared the hell out of me.

As I need a plug in to see this, and I'm too lazy to download it, what happens in the video? It isn't that video where something jumps out at you when it ends, is it? They've been talking about that on Snopes for a while; the commercial where a zombie runs at the screen after a car goes down a road was for a German energy drink.

This is a different commercial, right?

Scared the hell out of me *LOL* Oh man - my heart.

Reminds me of that scene from "Jaws" where the head suddenly appeared out of the hole in the bottom of the boat.

holy crap!!! good thing i clicked on the link before I read the comments, or else I wouldn't be enjoying the adrenaline I'm feeling now.

This movie is much more well done than another movie where they made you stare at a scene for a while and then flashed a screaming face a year or two ago. As a matter of fact, the other one is a wimp, a pushover, and a nerd and should be thrown in a trash can and rolled down a hill. Or maybe stuffed in his locker.

Man.... I had turned the volume up loud too.

I saw that a few weeks ago on The original site that they got it from has changed the link so that it takes you to her post board first.

And P.S. I didn't even have the volume on and I almost fell out of my desk chair. I was at work and got a few funny little looks.

Ho-ly crap!! I'm still shaking, and I didn't even have my speakers on! I bet I'm real lucky I didn't!
Posted by ate  on  Sun Oct 10, 2004  at  12:53 PM
I've seen a couple of things like this, but the setup and execution of this one are by far the best.
Scared the crap out of me for a few seconds, then I was laughing until tears ran out my eyes.
I'm just lucky it's a nice day outside my window, unlike the poor bastard who watched it in his dark basement.

Thanks a lot! That was the last thing I needed on a Sunday afternoon as I was trying to relax! Especially 'cause after about 2 seconds, I started to lean in really close to the screen to see if I could say anything.

Still shaking...
Posted by Josh W.  on  Sun Oct 10, 2004  at  08:14 PM
I meant "see anything" not "say anything," obviously I'm still all shaken up.
Posted by Josh W.  on  Sun Oct 10, 2004  at  08:15 PM
Wow. Damn near woke the baby.
Posted by Brian  on  Mon Oct 11, 2004  at  07:27 AM
I'm surprised there isn't a stain on my chair after watching that one! I can't remember the last time anything startled me like that. I'm sure glad I passed my stress test last week....

🐛 I should've known. Been set up like this before, you would think I would learn.

Good one, though, although I would recommend NOT sending it to anyone with heart troubles.
Posted by Pamela  on  Tue Oct 12, 2004  at  09:10 AM
This actually is a commercial? Did they sell a lot of that drink? Scared the "bejesus" outta me!

My teacher (mean man) showed us this video today because he likes to make up stories and scare us.

The principal walked in because we were screaming so loudly. I swear that was the scariest thing I have ever seen in my LIFE!
Posted by Emily  on  Wed Oct 13, 2004  at  05:44 PM
Actually, the one 'john' talked about might be the one we saw.

It was an airiel shot of a car driving up a winding road. Then, the deformed, white face appered, and then the tag to the commercial appeared, with, like a drink on it?

I dunno, I was too scared.

Can, you like, decribe the video to me? I'm to scared to watch.

Holy Zarquon's Singing Fish!

I jumped a metre vertically!

The key to the whole thing seems to be that relaxing Pan pipe music that lulls the viewer nicely. Like to send this around to people - But their surviving kin would sue me to death....

OMG I had my volume up too loud, need change of panties, scared the sh*t outta me, the dog ran out of the room, my son ran in and said what the he** was that so I had to show it to him ...
who needs friends who send you these kinds of things right?
Posted by Laurie  on  Fri Oct 15, 2004  at  05:19 AM
Good Lord. Just. Wow. Not even remotely cool. My lil bro showed me this and I damn near smacked him with my head when I jumped. Sheeeit. Goddamn. *twitch*
