Amazon is selling a
ghost meter for only $27.98. Sounds like a bargain. And according to the reviews it's "a reliable indicator of paranormal activity." Of course, what it really detects is electromagnetic fluctuations, such as the kind produced by any electrical device. So as a home repair tool for finding live wires, it could be useful.

I've can tell where my electrical meter box is from the inside the house by the EMFs generated and my microwave is safe to a distance of about 1ft. My keyboard is a nightmare, why so much EMF? I keep expecting my fingers to glow at night.
Having said that I've yet to find a ghost...
Obviously your keyboard is haunted. Yup.
"To be fair, at one point I DID follow the EMF readouts into a secret corridor I discovered behind the stairs, at the end of which was a translucent girl in Victorian garb who was silently weeping and pointing at me. HOWEVER, after she disappeared in an explosion of flames, the EMF detector continued to indicate a presence. That's when I realized that it was actually detecting the electricity coming from the wall sconces! It turns out, pretty much everything emits an electromagnetic field: lamps, toasters, microwaves, cell phones, ghosts, whatever.
In summary, this thing is totally useless, unless you want to find power lines or something. Ghost power lines."
Now the big question is : do ghost power lines come with ghost power bills ? o_O
