Fishmouth

Pictures of an unpleasant looking character, apparently called "Fishmouth," have been circulating via email. As you can see, this guy has done his best to improve his appearance by inserting black disks into his cheeks. It creates a lovely effect, rather like a stormtrooper.



It seems that this guy is real. The BodyTwo ModBlog reports that Fishmouth is originally from Poland where everyone called him "ZygZag," but now he's living in a punk squat in Germany. They have some pictures of him without the cheek inserts.



I think the cheek inserts actually make him look younger.

im usually ok with any forms of body piercing but those scars on his face are just something else

Read the comments on the blog. There are folks out there who really, really find this kinda thing attractive. To me, that's almost weirder than doing it in the first place.

How sweet and (sort of) tolerant you all sound. My own opinion is that in Western culture (and frankly this looks extreme even for some of those tribes that practice various forms of ritual self-mutilation), this amount of self-mutiliation is a sign of mental illness.

I'm saying he's a NUT. A self-hating nut. I only hope that all that nutiness and hatred is directed inward. That's not good, but at least it wouldn't hurt anybody else that way.

At least his piercings are not the standard one teenagers use to "rebel" and all end up looking almost exactly alike. But, DAMN he's ugly! I wonder what he looked like before the mutilation.

Interesting fact: In NZ, a recent survey of people with piercings and other body modifications found that over 75% disapproved of cosmetic or plastic surgery and a further 12% would support a move to make it illegal.

For anyone in doubt (url sais http://www.museumofhoaxes.com) this guy is real and he is as disgusting in person as you expect from the pictures. Missing sealing of the oral cavitiy, especially when _not_ wearing the disks, is probably worst part of it.
He is definitely living in or very close to Aachen for ~10 years. I remember him since the disks have been pins of reasonable diameter.
He is well known here because he is offering windscreen cleaning at the traffic lights at "Hansemannplatz" for 10 years.
