FEMA Plan to Use Pastors as Pacifiers

Status: Unlikely
An article has begun to circulate around the internet warning of a secret government plan to enlist pastors in an evil plan to create a submissive populace:
A Pastor has come forward to blow the whistle on a nationwide FEMA program which is training Pastors and other religious representatives to become secret police enforcers who teach their congregations to "obey the government" in preparation for a declaration of martial law, property and firearm seizures, and forced relocation. In March of this year the Pastor, who we shall refer to as Pastor Revere, was invited to attend a meeting of his local FEMA chapter which circulated around preparedness for a potential bio-terrorist attack, any natural disaster or a nationally declared emergency. The FEMA directors told the Pastors that attended that it was their job to help implement FEMA and Homeland Security directives in anticipation of any of these eventualities. The first directive was for Pastors to preach to their congregations Romans 13, the often taken out of context bible passage that was used by Hitler to hoodwink Christians into supporting him, in order to teach them to "obey the government" when martial law is declared.
And it goes on and on in this style. The article originally comes from prisonplanet.com, which is a conspiracy-theory site. Tellingly, the article doesn't provide any verifiable source for its claims. The story relies solely upon the word of "Pastor Revere". Of course, as Marx said, religion is the opium of the masses, so such a plan wouldn't be all that farfetched, but it seems a bit unnecessary. After all, isn't pacifying and brainwashing the populace what Fox News is for?

Oh SNAP!

Actually... while I agree that Fox News is certainly brainwashing the American public, the pacification (is that a word?) of the people is intended for the government, while encouraging them to be aggressive towards the lefty commie liberal pinkos.

I think it's quite likely that FEMA representatives would encourage pastors to do their part to keep people calm during and after disasters. That's a bit different, though, from plotting with the pastors to brainwash the populace.

My biggest problem with conspiracy theorists, is that their making much of highly-unlikely evils detracts from the completely outrageous, out-in-the-open real evils.

For example, they made much of a possible conspiracy with Diebold and the voting machines in Ohio while ignoring the outrage of millions of dollars of corporate campaign finance and the 30,000 or so full-time registered DC lobbyists both of which completely undermine democratic elections.

Or, the case in point--as opposed to the outrage of appointing Brownie as head of FEMA to begin with?

What is interesting is that the book of Romans (which tells us to obey)was written by Paul and Paul is exposed for being a false apostle.

Are we really to obey the magistrates?

King Herod told the wise men to report to him where Christ was and God told the wise men NOT to go back to Herod.

Daniel wouldn't obey the king and was put into a fire and was protected by the angel of the Lord.

Paul's doctrine was used by hitler to get the christians behind him.

To learn why Paul was a false apostle, go to the following:

In my language we have the saying "you shouldn't believe everything you read".

One day, someone had the bright idea to switch two words in this saying, making it an even more valuable advice for certain people: "you shouldn't read everything you believe".

In short: get a life !!!

Heh, FEMA can tell all the pastors to preach obedience, but that doesn't mean they'll do it.

I'm sure the IRS wants pastors to tell people to pay taxes, but look what happens.

While everyone is whining about their favorite anti-conservative issues, everyone is missing an obvious conflict. "Pastors" in America for the most part, but not all (there is the disclaimer) would be totally against property and gun confiscation and a NWO. If anyone has missed the End Times movement of the Western Christian community during the last few decades then they must be living in Osama's cave. Saying ministers would ever support and teach a FEMA take over is like making Oscar the grouch the poster child for enviromentalism. Anyway Alex Jones is a con, look at the pics and video he has on his web site, there is nothing odd about many of the pics except that he has created a frightening context around them, such as the "detention camps" on all these military bases. His videos are also psychologicaly wrong, mostly staged or recording everyday events and placing them in a new context.

Accipiter got it quite right: I'm in health/community services and attended a FEMA meeting on community readiness for disasters. They talked quite a bit about the potential roles of clergy during disasters and a lot of the talk was about helping people keep calm and providing emotional and mental health support. I could see how that could easily get twisted into a brainwashing agenda.

The article you link to has supporting documents at the bottom. 33 pages from the FEMA meeting that "Pastor Revere" attended.

This does not look like a hoax to me. The infowars document looks genuine, and genuinely scary. Looks like a great excuse to cancel elections, or worse.

So why not have someone submit this to FEMA and have them publicly denounce it? If it's a hoax they should be willing to renounce all connection with it, eh?

I've seen the powerpoint printout sheets before... They're a part of planning by emergency management agencies for response in case of a pandemic situation. The first part about counseling is NOT a part of the package that's being used in discussion... It does look like a checklist commonly used by pastors when they're doing trauma counselling. It looks like someone assembled several different documents together to make up that PDF...

Okay, here's a report from a 'Pastor' who essentially verifies what was posted before. Now what?

This has now been confirmed in news reports.

Yeah... now what? I checked the links and one was from a local news station. You idiots can use your "well I've never lived through anything like that before, so it must be BS" logic all you want... I would think for myself and do a little more research before I post it as a "hoax"... morons.

Well, let's ask the church goers? Have your pastors been plugging romans 13 in an "obey the government no matter what" context?

Surely with as many people who were supposedly given the order to preach it, we'll be seeing it happen.

While the inference in this article is that all of this is one big "conspiracy hoax/theory" with very little actual fact or truth to back it up, I challenge ALL to do their own due diligent research and keypunching in finding out the facts and see whether or not this info can be proven a hoax. Being a Jesus freak myself I can see what is really going on in this land of foolishness and know that Alex Jones has thoroughly researched his info before bringing it to the public. I highly recommend watching "TerrorStorm Special Edition" before discounting any of this. Remember, a conspiracy is two or more people engaged in an illegal/unlawful activity. Think we've got any of that going on in this country? J Edgar Hoover: "The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists." Thanks for your time.

Clearly NOT a hoax. They are being trained to teach people to turn in their guns when the tanks start rolling "for our protection." Learn simple world history, and realize we are not immune from this. It is actually happening here, right now. I know lots are saying this right now, but I'll say it anyways...Wake Up People

Necromancers are here to raise the thread!

Stopping by to say, "Congratulations, you're wrong!" Told ya so, told ya so! Sure, I agree you need to be skeptical, but when you decide to debunk a story by pulling opinions out of your ass, you might as well be a Holocaust denier too. I'm sure most of the German people had no idea Jews were being gassed and sent into the ovens, but with an OP like Alex, I'm not surprised the people were left in ignorance until it was too late.

Yeah, I know the other Alex (Jones) writes sensationalist BS at times, but instead of plugging your ears, open your eyes. Do a search, call the news stations that reported on this, and then come to a conclusion -- placing the onus is utter laziness in this technological age.

Status: Sad, but true.

Okay, if this is a big conspiracy, why did a mainstream news station do a report on it? Here's the link: http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/august2007/160807_quell_dissent.htm

Now this link goes to prisonplanet, but they have the video clip and link from a KSLA 12 news report confirming the very thing you idiots deny! Wake up!

There really is a Pastor Revere and there really is, or was, a full blown program to utilize US pastors in such a way as described. I realize saying "I was there" is not enough but as many have already listed, there are confirming documents (KTLA story, submitted training material to two sites: prisonplanet.com and calltodecision.com) elsewhere. Check it out for yourself by contacting your local/county EMA office and ask if there is training offered to Clergy for disaster preparedness. Don't be fooled into thinking they are offering a crash course for food storage and the like--ask them about the plans for the use of clergy in the event of a "declared emergency".
FEMA & DHS have plans and are implementing them--they have been for some time.
I merely stumbled upon this in a series of meetings designed to set this up in our county. There is so much more to this story, much more. And please-- this is not a conspiracy theory--it is a working fact for these folks.
I've been asked to put this in print and am working to do that at this time. For now, contact calltodecision.com and ask for the DVD presentation. Also ask for the radio programs available on CD.

its a fact.

If you folks would go to church once in awhile maybe you would witness just exactly what this article by PrisonPlanet.com said.

Two weeks, two separate churches, first one used the Roman's 13:1-4 scriptures that say we must obey those in power because they support the "good", they (the govt.) were put here by God to do His good. (Maybe these men -our leaders- once were supposed to represent "good", but our govt. is far from obeying God's commandments, and therefore do not represent good any longer. Thus, like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo, I choose to not bow to the govt. god.

2nd church, the pastor was going off topic on his sermon and preaching about getting inoculated with Christ's blood, using a cow's blood analogy. The Govt. is setting us up for a real pandemic via vaccination of untested vaccines and would love our pastors to influence us to take them. Ain't no way on earth that I will take that vaccination, nor line up for koolaid.

Let God's Spirit lead!!!
