I guess that so much time has passed since Monty Python's Flying Circus was on the air that people don't recognize a skit from that show when they see it anymore.

The website that this article links to makes mention of the skit in tiny letters on one of the pages, after lifting nearly every detail of the skit and making a website about it. The concept of Confuse-a-Cat is hardly public domain. It's a Monty Python property. If I were to put up a website advertising the services of Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker, with a mailing address of "Van Down By the River," I'd be virtually strung up for being unoriginal, since people know that Matt Foley was invented by Chris Farley.

As a huge monty python fan, I'm actually quite amused at the creation of this site, I think its a nice little tribute and all, but they should at least mention it belongs to monty python.. I don't it'd be happy for the creator if the pythons sue.

This is posted on the 'disclaimer' page:

This website was inspired by the Confuse-A-Cat sketch which appeared on episode 5 of Monty Python's Flying Circus, "Man's crisis of identity in the latter half of the twentieth century". The episode first aired on November 16 1969. We hope this site is a fitting tribute to the Pythons and their loyal fans all over the world
