He looks too big to be real, but apparently he genuinely is a giant cow. His name is Chilli, and he lives at the Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Somerset. From the
Daily Mail:
Chilli dwarfs most horses, is the same height as a small elephant and casts a shadow over his cattle companions who are about 5ft in height
"He now stands at 6ft 6ins from the floor to the top of his shoulder and he is massive when he holds his head up.
"We have made an application to Guinness Book Of Records and we are quite confident he will get it."

Agreed. You can tell from the shadows that the person is standing behind the cow.
I actually saw this on the tv news the other night, in video. And that cow really is *that* huge. The video showed the handlers interacting with the bull in normal farm situations, and that thing is massive.
Even lying down, it was still chest-height.
They even compared it to New Zealand's largest Bull, who was something like 17cm shorter than Chilli...
Pretty interesting article with neat pictures, and Ferne Animal Sanctuary sounds like a lovely place.
He really is that big. We're not used to seeing full-grown males because most are slaughtered before reaching full growth.
He does seem to be a big fella, but I think they've enhanced the effect simply by having a very small person pose next to him. This is an old trick. The models in sports car and airline ads are almost always tiny.
Really want to stroke him
:]
