According to this article on AOL, a man set himself on fire before proposing to his girlfriend, saying "Honey, you make me hot. I hope I'm getting the point across that I'm on fire for you."
Whatever happened to good old-fashioned romantics?

I don't understand why she said yes--Didn't she know he was a flamer? |

Ok, Ok, enough with the bad jokes already!
On a more serious note, it says he emerged unscathed.
Not that I'm a firefighter or a doctor or anything, but shouldn't he have been burned? Or at least his clothes should have burnt up, leaving a rather bare preposer?

*groan* I should have known this was laden with puns. Stop fueling the flames!
Snowy--I'd assume that his stunt-man friend (the guy who came up with idea) helped him with the safety details. |

Yes, if I recall correctly, and there's no reason to assume that I do, there is a jelly that is smeared all over the body to insulate against the flames. It's not long lasting, but he didn't require it for very long. Still, it's a rather dangerous stunt to pull off just because you carry a torch for someone. 😊 |
