I'm not sure if this has ever been posted before but, has any one else been
following the <a href="http://www.bewaretheheat.com" title=""BEWARE THE HEAT.COM"">"BEWARE THE HEAT.COM"</a> commercials, the hoax is over now but I
was just wondering if any of you have seen it. It began arond early may
The commercial follows a man around on and extremly hot day. No matter
where he goes he can't get out of the heat and it's taking it's tole. At
the end of the commercial it juts says "www.bewaretheheat.com" and then
it's over.
Only recently (in the last week or so) have the commercials ended. He goes
to a curb and then a 7Up truck comes by and spills pop on the street, he
picks up an intact bottle and drinks it and then the heat goes away.
Has any one else been following it?

I havent seen that one specifically (thanks to TiVo), but in my opinion commercial 'series' like that are flippin annoying. They hook you in like a real show and then don't even tell you what it's advertizing until like the last one. Then you feel like you lost a part of your life that you'll never get back... The cycle goes on.
Yet another reason I swear by TiVo. |

What's that called-viral advertising? It's very disapointing, because you think it's something neat and then it's just an ad. Blech. Like those ads for orlando florida that had just ended with the website 'www.takebackyourvacation.com' looked like they were almost challenging the corporate system, but no, just an ad. It really bugged me to see companies making money off anti-corporatism, but it's to be expected. Reminds me of how Oceana would also write the revolutionary books.

The commercial is absolutely perfect, from the corporates view ofcourse. Lately all the commercials have been plane and too obvious. This one on the other hand gets the viewer involved. I also like the commercials that force you to go to their website for free samples. PERFECT advertising skeems...What more can I say!!! If you don't like to see advertising don't watch TV or simply tune to TVO.
