These are real
The goats get startled by something and they get momentarily paralysed.
They don't really faint as fall over. |

LaMa, I take it you never watch animal planet.....They are real and very dumb creatures. Their bodies freeze up when they get a scare. In the wild they would be considered fast food. |

They actually have a purpose - well a few - first, they were used as 'sacrifice' animals with more valuable flock animals - the predators would take them...secondly, they are valuable for meat purposes - the muscling is heavier due to the myotonic condition. Finally, they are easier on fences, because they freeze when stepping over.
Not stupid for a homesteader or small farmer! You can check out the American Livestock Breed Conservancy for more info - http://www.albc-usa.org/wtchlist.htm
Now, the breed of chicken that's engineered for supermarkets - that's a stupid animal...so messed up it will eat itself to death...

You know, a lot of people fall into that category, so it's not necessarily a sign of "lower life." Maybe it's a symptom of being domesticated--which we are, in a way. |

So many rituals and so many things that i didn't know. Goats seem such simple but they have whole history behind. |
