According to the press, when Tony Blair visited a school last week, he was jeered and booed at. However, the official statement from Downing Street says that the kids were shouting 'boom', a slang phrase for 'hooray'.
What a pile of manure.

I've seen the footage, and those kids were booing. No doubt about it. Besides, what British kid would cheer Tony?

I would....he's done a good job. made a few mistakes admittedly, but britain is a far better country than it was under the conservatives, who also fully supported the war since the outset, the hypocritical expletive deleteds |

David, I wouldn't vote for the conservatives either.
My post came across in a slightly different way than I intended. I was wondering why school kids would cheer any politician. They're less likely to be involved in politics than the voting public, and most of the voting public don't cheer them, if you see what I mean. |

Because its Tony Blair. The perpetual smile.
I long for the times of Thatcher. She was a real bitch, and even if you didn't like her you at least had to respect her for her personality. |
