I was just watching something on the ole google box about hollywood.
Seems the story on their site about Peg entwhistle is at least half true.
She did jump from one of the O's
Whether or not she got the part in the movie afterwards is still up for speculation. |

A friend of the my Mum's died the other day. He actually thought he had this flu that was going around and took the day off work. When his wife came home, she found lying on the floor, dead. |

Nettie, that is more or less what happened to my dad. Even our physician thought it was just the flu. It wasn't, it was his heart failing. |

I'd have to say Petronius's suicide is the best I've ever heard. He invited all his friends over, then cut his wrist and wrapped a tourniquet around his arm. He then tried to amuse his friends by telling jokes, and every time they didn't laugh, he'd let out a little blood.
They really went out in style in those days. |

I think the better "famous last words" were made up ahead of time and held in reserve for the proper moment. I've been present at two deaths (I was a CNA for the elderly). One said "goodnight, dear" to her husband, the other said "oh, we forgot my eyedrops." |
