Refutation
The email which Thom sent (referenced in his last paragraph) the following verse is not the aayah (verse) quoted in the Holy Qur'aan ( i.e. Chapter 9 Verse 11) - it is a hoax and lie, concocted by people who think they can undermine the Word of Allaah (God) Almighty by circulating this fake verse: - quote:
"Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace." - unquote.
The original verse in the Holy Qur'aan: At-Taubah 9:11 is (the interpretation of the meaning):
"But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand."
Please read these two (2) hoax reports:
http://www.snopes.com/politics/war/quran.asp
http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_quran_911.htm
Many non-Muslims are not aware that there were certain groups of people who deliberately change the Words of Allaah in the Qur'aan (and they are still doing it up to this day) - adding something here, deleting there, or changing the entire verse (as in Thom's transmission) - to pound "their truth" and keep their 'flock' in servitude to what they desired. Allaah Almighty says (the interpretation of the meaning):
"And indeed, there is among them a party who alters, who distort the Book with their tongues: (As they read) you would think it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they say, "That is from Allaah," but it is not from Allaah. It is they who tell a lie against Allaah, and (well) they know it! (The Qur'aan: 'Aal-Imraan 3:78)
However, Allaah Almighty, has promised to always preserve and protect His Book, the Holy Qur'aan as He tells us (the interpretation of the meaning):
"We have, without doubt, sent down the Message (the Qur'aan); and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)." (The Qur'aan: al-Hijr 15:9)
and
"Praise be to Allaah, Who hath sent to His Servant the Book (the Qur'aan), and hath allowed therein no Crookedness: (He hath made it) Straight (and Clear) in order that He may warn (the godless) of a terrible Punishment from Him, and that He may give Glad Tidings to the Believers who work righteous deeds, that they shall have a goodly Reward ..." (The Qur'aan: Al Kahf 18:1-2 - the interpretation of the meaning)
To verify the verses I have quote above please check the Qur'aan Index at: http://www.muslimaccess.com/quraan/index.asp
The Truth will always prevail as Allaah Almighty says in the Holy Qur'aan (the interpretation of the meaning):
"Those who reject the Message (Qur'aan) when it comes onto them (are guilty), for indeed it is an unassailable Scripture. No falsehood can approach it from before or behind it: It is sent down by One Full of Wisdom, Worthy of all Praise." (The Qur'aan: Fussilat 41:41-42 - the interpretation of the meaning)
What you have read above is the clear and fundamental Truth whole-heartedly embraced by Muslims! No amount of adverse propaganda or falsehood will affect our faith in Allaah Almighty's Words in the Holy Qur'aan.
The French writer-philosopher François-Marie Arouet, who is better known by his pen name, Voltaire said (attributed) when addressing the French public in 1767: "Anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices." http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Voltaire
Voltaire also wrote to M. Damiliville dated 16 May 1767: "I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: 'O Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.' And God granted it." http://www.ronaldbrucemeyer.com/rants/1121a-almanac.htm
Please do not forward this falsehood.
All the best,
K a r i m a

This is indeed very interesting to read but may or may not be true. Someone should check it out???
IRAQ - VERY INTERESTING - DID YOU KNOW?
1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq.
2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!
3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.
5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!
6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq.
7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.
8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.
9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.
10. Amos cried out in Iraq!
11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.
12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq!
13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)
14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.
15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.
16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.
17. The wise men were from Iraq.
18. Peter preached in Iraq.
19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq!
And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name
Iraq, means country with deep roots.
Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.
No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq.
And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages..
The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)
Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.
(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?! God Bless you all Amen !

It was closed because the discussion had spiralled downwards into bigotry. Evidently it's like a weed. It just keeps sprouting back up. |

Maybe we need a note advising the use of the search feature. |

Why not make a pre-emptive strike against the bigotry that's sure to follow...
CLOSE THIS ONE NOW...
We've heard it all, and no one is going to change their opinions... so why not just stave off the hate before it starts???

Is now freespeech bigotry Alex? It seemed that a man was posting about the Talmud. This is a real book. He may have been posting right out of it, did you check? I really wanted to communicate with a women about the Koran and how her teachers had Lied to her, but someone stopped the thread. I find it hard to post everyday on all the sites and threads but I try to get back to the ones I like in a few days and this was closed before I got back. Organized Religion is a Hoax and Fraud should be debated on this site!! |

Citizen said..."Maybe we need a note advising the use of the search feature."
Which leads me to ask... Have you ever used the Search feature here???
I'm mean, with much Love and good feelings for Alex and his site, it has got to be the worst search engine I've ever encountered.
Was trying to locate the two "Shroud of Turin" threads earlier and tried several times to use it... got EVERYTHING in the damn world but those. Finally had to just click on the "religion" category and find them manually...
Type in Shroud of Turin and click search... see what you get... it's good for a laugh at least!

Guess I should have read ALL the way down before I asked Citizen if he'd ever used the "Search" feature here...
:red:
Has Mark ever read a thread all the way through before opening his big trap???
😊
Not really... |

OK. Could I just say, I did a search on "Turin" and <a href="http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/hoax/search/results/ca9c236c125e4319e5f070b9ed24bc8b/">this</a> is what I got. |

Not too bad... at least they were listed there. Did you try it as "Shroud of Turin" though? I don't think either one was listed when I did, at least not on the first page. But then again my computer SUCKS, so maybe it's just me... that has been known to be the cause of the problem many times before! (me) |

Okay, here's the <a href="http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/hoax/search/results/aa7676c9d054b3acf302270129b1ffaa/">shroud of turin</a> search. I tend to keep things basic when doing searches. I think Alex's search engine must do a search on all word matches, whether they're related or not.
I'll stick with the KISS motto! 💋 |

See what I mean? Your thong photo thread comes up on the first page but no sign of the Turin threads. Since that word is in both titles you would think they would at least come up along with all the other stuff...???
I don't know... |
