Tried like hell to find the MOH mention on http://www.usatoday.com but couldn't find it anywhere. Maybe that article's not available for the on-line edition... Oh well... |

<a href="http://news.google.ca/news?q="museum+of+hoaxes"&hl=en&lr=&sa=N&tab=nn&oi=newsr">Here's the link</a> to current news stories feat. MOH (from google).
Now we know why it slowed down so much on the 30th.
It was mentioned by MSNBC.
Also there are links to articles from...
The Chicago Tribune
And
The New York Times
Among several others.
Wow.
Just WOW.
Congrats, Alex. |

The USA Today mention didn't appear online. Only in the print edition. It's a small box at the bottom of the front page that lists the top 3 april fool's hoaxes with MOH as the source. They never published a picture of the Museum's exterior, unfortunately. |

Alex Boerse, author of "The Museum of Hoaxes" and proprietor of a Web site of the same name, observed that the sensationalist ethos survives today in some supermarket tabloids. But for the mainstream U.S. press, he said, the premier era of hoaxing may have been from the 1830s, with the rise of the penny press and mass-circulation papers, to the early 1920s, when corporate chains began binding newspapers and objectivity spread as a newsroom faith.
They mis-spelled Alex's name! |

Ha! It's a zombie from Dawn Of The Dead.
'They're coming to get you, Alex!'
It all relates to a convo I was having on here last night. It was gonna be you in an afro, but I'm not that good with paintshop, so it didn't look good enough to post, and I made this one instead. You want to see scary? You should have seen the one when I pasted Don King's hair on you.
You probably missed the one with the evil eyes, when you were standing in front of the Guggenheim in New York....
Hard to tell I need a hobby, eh? |

Okay, I just discovered that my link doesn't work. It cut it off after a percent sign.
So, here goes...

<a href="http://www.voiceofsandiego.org/site/apps/nl/content2.asp?c=euLTJbMUKvH&b=312469&ct=512881">Voice of San Diego</a>
The direct Chicago Tribune story link won't work here.
So, you'll have to go to <a href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/">go here</a> and type "museum of hoaxes" into their search box. The article you want is called "Secret Revealed". |

My local newspaper supplement, called 7220, ran the Top 20 April Fools Jokes and listed MOH as a source, and to see you for the full 100.
Sorry, they aren't on-line. Well, not the supplement... |
