Wow, I just listened to this two days ago, on my own no less. (no forward from a friend)
Dunno if it is real or not, but I admit I did find it way creepy in a silent house while all alone though. 😉 |

Perhaps one of the people on this forum with "the power" (Alex, Stephen?) can put some added note to the post that this is "not for the weak of mind to listen to: potential upsetting content!" ?
I am not a believer in the occult and paranormal at all, and the whole tape migh well be a hoax or ann adio of someone suffering from a psychosis; but as a natural response I did feel very unpleasant while listening to this audio. It is just very creepy. |

The website says that it might be disturbing, but I put it in the body of the post, in case someone doesn't read down far enough on the about.com site. |

I don't get it. The only thing that disturbed me was how crappy the quality was. Otherwise it just sounded like really bad acting. |

I couldn't listen to it at work, but I figured it one person thought it was creepy, it was worth noting...this way the next 100 posts aren't, "I was creeped out! This was SOOO scary. I can't believe that doesn't come with a warning!"
Anywho...Thanks to LaMa, there's a warning for future weak minds. 😉 |

Yep, and thanks Maegan. My weak mind was certainly somewhat disturbed for several minutes following the act of listening. But then, I am a wimp.... :red: |

i can't believe i wasted two minutes and forty-one seconds of my life on that. the only bit that made me jump was when the 'ambience' on windows media player suddenly changed from one setting to another (it was on random)
where was the crying mother? the church walls crumbling? satan himself appearing to declare the new age of torture and torment for all mankind?
in all, i give it a C- |

You bloody Brits are just too used to hauntings. You want to have chain rinkling, devilish resonating laughs, cold draugths chilling the spine, enflamed visions in dinghy crypts....otherwise you are bored. You are spoiled spoiled spoiled....!!!
This is a decent Russian demon, not a Brit demon. it compares to.....well, just as British women compare to Russian women. The former are just much meaner in appearance and language.....but the latter more dangerous.... |

perhaps you are right. england is in fact one big haunted castle. even the air is haunted with 'ghost air', or 'clouds' as we call them |

I take issue with the fact that about.com presents everything on its site as proof, even when there is no proof there, as in the cases of bigfoot or the loch ness monster.
On anything "alternative", so to speak, they are definately NOT a trusted authority.
For instance, they take the fact that tested DNA could not be identified as conclusive proof that it is from an unknown animal. All it takes is a bad or spoiled sample, and the DNA test will not identify where the DNA came from.
<a href="http://paranormal.about.com/library/weekly/aa040901a.htm">This</a> is the result of faulty reasoning.
Check out their <a href="http://paranormal.about.com/library/weekly/aa112999a.htm">list of "proof" </a>that bigfoot exists. There is proof nowhere. |

That's a tape of my girlfriend suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. I often do russian orthodox chants to help ease her passing. |

Ah! We've heard from the daughter of King Phlegm and Queen Mucous tonight.
I thought she was killed in the "Kleenex Coup" of 2001.

Give me five minutes alone with you, a pair of pliers and some nipple clamps and you'll be singing a different song, young man...

Ah, somebody who feels I still am a "young man"! Life is good!
In my experience (yes, I have dug in Britain), the way to exorcise British women is simply to booze them down. They always cooperate with that, it increases the foul language but diminishes their dangerous sides as long as you keep out of one arms length reach, and be aware of flying pints of beer.
But the nipple clamps sound promising....uhhm, I mean.... be aware, I know how to defend myself..... |

it did seem to be pretty poor quality. If it was better, I may have found it a little unsettling but as it was, it wasn't too bad. |
