I had to post this when I seen it. When this kid grows up to hhave kids, just imagine what kinda stories she will be telling her kids.
<i>"When I was your age, I had to wake up before the sun came up, and ride a mule, in the snow, for 15 miles just to get an education!!"</i>

Awww, I saw that too. It's cute, like something out of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Except the kid's name is "Saje." Is that some odd spelling of Sage? Or possibly it has some totally off-the-wall pronunciation like Sah-zhay? 😉 |

Can't find "Saje" on any of the baby naming websites, so I'm guessing it is a variant of Sage.
(Sage, by the way, is my son's name.) |

God, just shoot me... Paul Harvey just devoted the entire "Page Two" of his broadcast to Sage, and Ruthie the Mule... |

Well, she'll be safe should any mountain lions suddenly attack.

Snopes.com have listed it as undetermined. Their not sure whether the photos are just showing the mule picking up and throwing a carcass around, or whether the mule actually killed the mountain lion. The photos look real, as in they've not be photoshopped, but the content is open to interpretation. |

When I was growing up in northern British Columbia, we used to go to school on snowmobiles. Do I get to be on CNN too? |

When I was young we were so poor that on Christmas, if you didn't wake up with an erection, you'd have nothing to play with. |

My day used to claim that when he was a kid he had to walk five miles to school, and five miles home, uphill both ways, running his hand along a barbed-wire fence so he wouldn't get lost in the blizzard. |

Al, where in BC are you from? I grew up in the Merritt/Kamloops are, much of my family is in Tumbler Ridge and the Okanagan.
We used to use snowmobiles too, at such a young age that I recently asked my mother what drugs she was taking. 😉 I wouldn't dream of letting my kiddo use them as young as we were, and unsupervised too. |

Winona, the town I went to school on a snowmobile was Mackenzie. Not the most northern place in British Columbia but far enough to make me move to southern British Columbia. |

Al, I had a friend in junior high who was from there. Wish I could remember name, but the older I get the harder it is. 😊 |

When I was a child, we were forced to get on the large yellow vehicle, once inside, the doors magically shut behind us. Then we would have to walk thru an obstical course of arms, legs, books, bags, and gum. The purpose of this task was not to trip and fall. Then we entered negotiations with kids that owned a particular seat that we wanted. Once negotiations were over, we were tortured by people behind us who seemed to enjoy thumping ears. After an hour of this, we would end up at our destination, a Facility where we were kept for 8 hours and had to endure brainwashing by numerous people. We only got to eat once during this entire event. Once a week, they put us in this Huge room, where we were allowed to watch half naked girls, called "Cheerleaders" jump and scream at us. At the end of the day we were loaded back on that yellow vehicle and sent home. To make matters worst, we had to do this 5 times a week!!! |

re mountain lion vs. mule: i believe a mule could kill a young (and perhpas sickly?) mountain lion if it wanted to. but i don't think it would go about it like that. sure, mules can (and will) bite, but in a fight with a mountain lion, it would be all hooves. but i suppose we're to believe the mule kicked it to death first? |
