Next thing you know, some six year old kid will be grabbing the steering wheel from his mom and gunning for Bambi. Obviously this candy is the first step on the road to becoming a serial killer. |

The 'Friends' spin off. surely that is more dangerous to our children than subversive sweets?
Did a school in the UK ban Jelly Babies, because the 'bite their heads off' style of eating them had teachers concerned their children were being groomed by Satanists? |

If the add campaign involved purposely running over animals, I can see how it would be in bad taste. But roadkill itself is something we all see, and road-kill candies are just an attempt to be cute. |

Does eating gummy brains or gummy eyeballs promote canibalism?
I think the gummy roadkill is funny! And I'm an animal rights advocate. So there.

Do you remember "chocolate babies"? They're very hard to find now. I'm not sure if it's b/c of the racial implication or the fact that you were eating candy that looked like babies or both. But in any case, they seem to be off the market. I think at one time they even had a racially non-pc name but I can't think of it now. |

I recall "Rots-O-Ruck" candy, complete with denigrating Asian sterotype characters on the wrapper. What the hell were they thinking? |

Glam, chocolate babies were at one time called
"N-gger" babies. (God I hate that word! Sorry I won't type it all out.) I remember the first time I had those that is what they were called. When I said it that way in front of my Mom, the vein in her neck popped out. Now it does the same thing to me, lol. 😊
Once in a while I still see them at old time candy stores, but in licorice flavor... those are the only type I've ever tried. |

Is it wrong that I chuckled at "N-gger babies" or is it a sign that I've risen above words? |

WE have chocolate babies in Australia but we call them chikkos. My mum loves them. Just in case anyone wanted to know that. |

Thanks Winona. You're right! Can you believe there was actually a candy called that! Then they changed it to be "choclate babies" and now you can't even find them here. I guess we'll have to go to Australia!
Nettie, is "chikkos" a derogatory term at all? I'm not familiar with that word. |

I've made up a petition to keep the road kill gummies on the market at
http://www.petitiononline.com/bob2323/petition.html
I don't know if it will do any good, but I think it's funny. Maybe it will work. |

online petitions don't work,it's a proven fact.
also petitiononline, hosts stupid petitions created by angry "rebel" girls. I can't believe they think a petition would stop Ashley Simpson from singing.(although i'm not against that brilliant idea} |

My little girl doesn't know about right from wrong yet...or hasn't quite grasped it. She just jams the whole animal cracker into her mouth & then takes off before I can stop her & make her take a bite one at a time. The few times I've been able to get her to take one bite at a time...she's randomly bitten off legs, heads, tails...
Personally, I like to start w/ the legs to cripple 'em first. Keep them from running away! |

Thats a perfect example, now PETA will be knock'n on your door. I watch animal planet alot, and they have those animal cop shows, then I figured something out!!! We are watching shows and being entertained by watching animals suffer, cause thats all they show. They show alot of black people on there alot, just like on Cop's. Thats odd. I don't know many black people that own horses, just a few, but they are allways showing black people getting arrested for abuse to a horse. I have seen it 4 times already!!! Thats Crazy!! Why do they do that??? |

I was in advertising a long time. I know it works. All you have to do is influence people in the direction you want. I know for sure that some sick people will be influenced to run over animals. If that is ok by you, so be it. It will happen!!! |

I'm getting kind of tired of things being restricted because 'some' people 'may' be influenced by it. |

Glamcat, no idea if chikko's is derogatory or not. I've not heard it in common use except in relation to the lollies. But they've been called that for years so maybe it's a term from before my time |

Hmm...activists just got on to the GirlScout's case...if more than half of the population is fat...they're contributing! GirlScouts advised they would ask their manufacturers to change the types of oils used in cooking. |

Yes, because, after all, everyone eats two boxes of them what, once a year?
Anyway, I agree with the animal rights freak. These things promote violence all right.
I can picture it now... a kid racing his bike down the street aimed at a lineup of gummy worms, gummy bears, and gummy cherries, grinning and cackling maniacly even as he speeds up...
Oh great, now he's gonna piss off the fruit and veggie lovers. |

It may be slightly disturbing, but not NEARLY as disturbing as the gum i saw a few years ago...
It was a flat plastic flesh-coloured piece with a half-sphere colored red on it. You squeezed the red thing, and it popped, shooting this disgusting whitish/yellowish stuff out. Gum.
That's right, they actually made (maybe still do) ZIT GUM. |

Anyone know? |
