I want a penguin, BAD!! They vibrate when you pet them too. This will really get a guy some women. Take it for a walk in the park, and watch the women flock. This pet may even be better then a Monkey. They work great at pool parties too I bet. |

I vibrate when you pet me too....
but you can't buy me on the internet. 😉
I was actually wondering about this one, too... something was nagging at me thinking that I had already seen it posted on the weblog, but was too lazy to search for it. 😊 |

I don't think it is real. For proof, look at the Q&A section on the website. It suggests that you should give your penguin laser eye surgery. The truth is that you are not allowed to have an endangered species as a pet in the United States unless you are a licensed biologist, pathologist, zoologist, etc. This is definitely a hoax. |

I don't think penguins are endangered. There are plenty of them. Maybe a certain kind or breed is possibly. But I don't think penguins in general are.
I don't know if this is a hoax or not. Does anyone know of anyone that has baught a penguin from them? If not, we have no way of knowing its a hoax. They could be making lots of money before our eyes. I guess its natural to think its a hoax because penguins are a rare pet. I'm thinking about ordering one. |

Cooldood,
IT IS A HOAX!
YOU ARE AN IDIOT!
This, of course, does not include your first paragraph, which was sensibly and sanely written.
Thank you. |

Some species are endangered, however there are a couple that arent. Eudyptula minor (Fairy Penguins) are listed LC on the endangered list (Lease Concerned) as there are over a million in the world. They reside in Australia so they like warmer temperatures. To purchase one you will need an import permit, you'll need a personal pet permit. A permit can be had at http://www.fws.gov/ (US fish and wildlife service) then you have to find a place to buy one. do a search in Australia or New Zealand and you should be able to find a place to get one. I will warn you, A permit is needed, if you import one without a permit it is a felony to import such an animal. Thats my disclaimer 😊 good luck |

Hi all,
The webpage was reaaly useful. I bought my emperor penguin a few months ago. He's really a close friend... I hold him as household pet inside of my house but sometimes I take him to te backyard when it's winter. He is a bit noisy, good luck I've only one neighbour at the next house of mine. They don't noticed me yet.
He needs place not as cold, he is capable to live at around -2C and feels good. He eats a mixture of krill and sardinel. And I have to told you, the room where is a penguin is very very smelly. Not the penguin is smelly but his... shit... and very hard to clean it!!! Think to that if youre going to get one! Your neighbours may not tolerate the noise and smell.
Best! |
