But it's a NASA photo. It's on a NASA website. I think Hairy's found something important. Could this be something our government didn't want us to see? :coolhmm: |

This is the NASA SOHO site: sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov The photo is labelled 20050102 (Jan.2nd,2005) and the URL also suggests it may have been a frame from a video loop, hence the real-player reference in the URL. I'm no comp wiz, and as I said, I'd be 100 percent sure it was fake, but it's from NASA. I'm curious if it was the only frame or photo that caught that image, and how far apart the looped images are chronologically. Could be a flyspeck, so to speak, but what's up with the "Rays". That's even weirder than me. |

The resolution in this picture is pretty good, so why does the UFO look so pixelated? Or were my old Atari games right all along.
I think it has something to do with the image used to block out the sun. The pixelation is very similar. |

I recognized the Atari effect too, C-dog. I have an old Spiderman Atari game and Spidey consists of six or so little pixelations blocks. Blue and red of course. I also wondered about the horizontal position. It seems too fixed and even. Really looks fake, but if it is from NASA, maybe they are using old Atari technology. |

I saw this picture in Yahoo news about a year ago (at least I think it was about a year ago). They had several of these in different colors, green, blue and red if I remember correctly. If memory serves me correctly the "disc" covering the sun was something they used to block out the sun in order to see the solar flares. |

No comment from NASA re this photo. I could tell you how I came to know this and other secrets, but The Council has forbidden me to divulge too much, too soon. Live Long and Prostrate |

Just realized that if it is really an alien flying saucer, then it's definitely very big saucer, comparing to the earth in overall sizes.
Say, Alex may you share Hairy Houdini's e-mail with me? Had some strange coincidences just before seeing this topic and want to ask some questions to Hairy. |

If I remember correctly, That is just a photo to show Sun Flares shooting, they just blocked out the sun with the dark circle thing so the flares can appear better. |

I saw one in the sky over the city. It was round and black and just hung there like being suspended on some invisible rope. People were pointing at it and shouting in a teasing manner: Look! You've waited for them and they are here!
So what's the Council Hairy? And what are you waiting from us? Should we commit a suicide or something? |

By the way, here is another strange thing from SOHO observatory site. Original article is in russian. There are two photos taken on a 02.02.2005 day - first at 15:18 and second at 15:42. First one shows a strange smoky-coloured trace, apparently left by some kind of a flying object (track is not present in a second image taken 20 minutes later). Article says that according to a complicate trajectory, trace could be left only by guided object. |

I think the clue here is it was on the NASA site
it must therefore be fake
If it was real there'd be no way they'd release it into the public domain.
Its the same as all these meteorites that are going to make near misses with earth in the future. You know the ones that were they to hit would wipe out all existence. If any such rock was actually on a collision course we wouldn't find out about it until it hit. |

Click on the link and scroll down to the left side of the "pixelated thing". There is a little red line connecting a small WHITE object that looks like a flying saucer. The big red circle is probably something to do with the focus of the sattelite (or whatever they shot this pic with) anyone else see it?! |

better yet, if NASA released this pic, the circle could be blotting out a whole bunch of other UFOs... maybe im just dreaming. |

The image shows a cosmic ray impact on the CCD detector: a splitting cosmic ray it looks. Cosmic rays are very common on the SOHO images (and indeed, any CCD image).
The "saturn" shape of the bright spot, is due to CCD "bleeding". That is, the CCD got oversaturated here and starts to "bleed" to neighbouring CCD cells. |

LaMa, I think I'd rather believe the UFO stealing the sun. That makes you a NARROW MINDED JERK because your logical explanation conflicts with my fantasy worldview. Prepare to be flamed...caps lock... ENGAGED!

JaguaR, you can link to images so that they'll show up automatically on the page, but you can't upload images so that they're hosted on my server. So what you do is you upload your image to a free image hosting service such as photobucket. Then you write a link to it in your comment. You've got to know a tiny bit of html to do this:

The second effect will be the Great Reversal. This will power the detention grids and processing facilities. This will enable the third effect, the transmission of Sol's energens to The Nexus, for final distribution amongst The Guild. I've said too much. |

When someone asks me how I can to stay calm knowing that something was so much different in the past, I just shrug my shoulders. I do not know how... |
