Osama vs. Moses

Is it just me, or does Osama seem to be copying Moses, with the destroying all non believers of his faith. I am not a christian, but I find the bible facinating. I was studying the old testament and it just seems that Osama is doing something similar to what Moses was ordered by God to do.

If you assign a numerical determination to the letters of Moses and Osama, meaning, A=1, B-2, and so on, this is the result: M-O-S-E-S: 13,15,19,5,19... totals to 71... O-S-A-M-A: 13,19,1,13,1... totals to 49... add them both together and you get 120... Oh My God... 1/20? isn't that the date of GWB's inauguration in January? Have I broken the code, or am I fulla shite? |

Hairy has broken the code AND he knows the formula for the special sauce from McDonalds AND he knows the names of the 11 secret herbs and spices at KFC. |

Moses didn't kill his own people. You tell me where you see in the Bible, "Moses murdered them one by one." |

That's easy! Exodus 32 verse 27. Now, it doesn't say that Moses murdered them one by one, but it does say that he ORDERED them to be murdered one by one. Yes these were fellow jews that he had just led out of Egypt. He ordered the levites to slaughter all of the jews who were worshipping the golden calf. Thousands of men, women and children were killed by their brothers at Moses's command.
Here is a quote from the KJV: "Let every man put his sword on his side, and go in and out from entrance to entrance throughout the camp, and let every man kill his brother, every man his companion, and every man his neighbor."
When they were done with their bloody task he gave them all a blessing, natch... 😉 |

GO MOSES... and yet we wonder why, where, and how all these FANATICS end up ruining so many people's lives! We have SO LITTLE precious time to enjoy life it's SAD that people waste it w/ ridiculous trappings such as these. Yeah... it's a pretty shitty realization that once your time is up, YOUR DONE / GAME OVER / THAT'S ALL FOLKS, so God and religion were invented to make an idiotic species like man think that it wasn't the end. It helps people feel better about the time that they're here, thereby increasing their life enjoyment, so more power to it. But to FORCE it on everyone else in the world or kill them... doesn't the irony of these kinds of things (i.e. crusades, jihad, the entire old testament) really fly in the face of a "so-called" loving god? It's all about finding a way to CONTROL someone else... and get their money from them. |

So where did the earth come from if there was not something supernatural that created it? |

why doesn't it need to be supernatural? Why not just plain old natural? |

I agree with natural to some extent. But what about the absolute beginning. Something coming out of nothing has to be Supernatural. No matter how far you go back someone had to start it all. And it must have been a being that existed all along. Eternal, you might say. |

So who started god? Same argument. You can't say that god has to be eternal and the universe can't be. The universe(multiverse) can be eternal. And frankly, from a scientific viewpoint 'something coming out of nothing' seems to be the way the universe actually works sometimes. So, if that turns out to be true then by your argument god is unnecessary to the equation. Circular logic sucks, doesn't it?

Give me another instance of something coming from nothing. Francesco Redi disproved this theory back in 1668. It would be unscientific to say that the universe spontanousely generated itself because we have never seen anything like this ever happen. People have concluded in the past that Spontaneous Generation was the cause of some events but their theories have all been disproved when investigated a little further. |

Are you not arguing that God created everything, but nothing created him?
By your own posting, you've just disproved that... |

My mistake. It seems that subatomic particles spontaneously generate from a "vacuum" of quantum energy and subsequently degenerate back into it. Whether that constitutes "something from nothing" I leave to the physicists.
I never said that the universe spontaneously generated from nothing. I meant that it sometimes happens within the universe.
Having said that, I find it interesting that you are now arguing from a scientific stance and not a supernatural. Whichever works for you at the time, huh? Of course, by your argument we have never seen anything like god creating the universe, therefore it is unscientific to claim that he did. There is just as much validity in claiming that the universe came from nothing as there is in claiming that god created it.
What is your criteria for accepting one unsupported claim and not another? Is it merely that people have been claiming it as true for many thousands of years? What makes Christianity or Judaism more valid than the beliefs of the Egyptians, Sumerians, Chinese, Native Americans, etc? Many religions were around much longer and some have more followers. Doesn't that make them more right? |

Im glad to see that this post I posted is still getting responses. It is simple. GOD is pure energy, not a person, energy is the life giving force, "Chi". It is nature. To put a face on GOD is redicules. And for those that follow the Bible, do you relize that these words have been twisted through out time. Most of it is word of mouth, "Stories and Rumors" The actual inteligent people who ruled countries then devised a way to control all superstisious people with this Trilogy we call the Bible so they could be ruled. Although truth is it is basedd on real people and events, just like Vampires and werewolves. |

So where did you get your "Chi" information from if not by word of mouth.
I know that you won't accept this, but the argument you use against Christianity is equally valid when used against your own beliefs. You're just replacing one set of superstitious beliefs with another.
I should also point out that the majority of people in this world are NOT Christians. Do their rulers use the Bible to control them to?
Today seems to be "Religion" day. |

You are right. But I am discussing Christianity. For the other comment I guess I didn't include "In my opinion" if that makes some of you feel better. I wouldn't want to "Offend" anyone by pushing my pagan or athiest beliefs onto people. |

Cmon guys give christians some credit, they just got over the fact that the world is not the center of the universe, give it a couple hundred years and they might 1) come up with some new arguments or 2) find somehing else to bitch about. Quit holding society back. Life is short enough without you guys around to make it shorter/ more stressful.
How many times have you seen some queerbag drivin down the road with this on his bumper. LOL.
ch__ch whats missing ur
Like I would waste two hours a week listening to some old guy who farts to much tell me how I fall short of the glory of god. Im a wretch and Im goin to hell if I dont put some damn money in the offering plate to support his fat ass. |
