Somehow one of the first big Internet hoaxes of the 1990s has been forgotten on the Museum of Hoaxes website: Glock 3.

As a quick Lexis search indicates, Glock 3 was also mentioned in Newsweek's "Perspective" section on Dec. 16, 1996, and a lot of other major publications.
Obviously, this post is pretty self-serving -- since I was the kid responsible for developing the original site and eventually admitting that it was fake -- but I can't let the most important work of my high school career go unnoticed.

if you really are who you say you are the man who started glock 3 then i know you counter part one mr. Jacob Brookover ... he is my highschool techer and told our class about glock 3 well i thought it was brilliant well later
