I'm talking about you, Kalista. If you didn't open up the file, you'd never have to look at those pictures. You're the one responsible for it, no one else. Oh yeah, and by the way Charybdis is right, and you are a fucking bitch, and one of these days just fucking die and go to hell. 😛 😜 |

I'm not going to look at the picture, but can someone tell me if the person died from the condition, and how the worms got in there in the first place? |

The pictures date from October 2002, and they are photographs of a man in his 70s who was suffering from an unusual form of cancer which had eaten away at the upper portion of his skull and scalp but who had not sought any medical treatment because the condition was not causing him pain. The man was brought to the trauma center at Stanford University Hospital (where the photographs shown here were taken) by San Mateo County paramedics who had been summoned to the scene after the man was involved in a minor automobile accident and who found him in his car in the condition pictured.
No mention of whether he survived... |

They say that fish is brain food. And larvae are fish food. So I suppose this just completes the whole "Cycle of Life" thing. |

No, read the explanantion! It's not a Japanese guy's sushi worms in his brain - it's because he was involved in some accident and the top of his scalp got sawed off. Then the flies came and laid eggs on this brain. I'll keep eating my sushi - the only worms you could possibly get from sushi are intestine worms - they can't migrate to the brain. :ahhh: |

wow, I'm not sure how to respond to this one. Either it's a very good photoshop, or it's real. But I have my doubts about it being real, so I'd have to say, pretty d*** good photoshop!

This question weather the brain can be infected with worms is actually a very long standing one. These pictures are obviously doctored, but the Nature (Nov 2005) published an article about the possibility of intestinal parasites breaking into the actual blood stream and able to migrate in the upper human body. Still, the pictures are fake.

Yeah... I don't know if anybody actually read the article pertaining to it. Nobody really does look into it. The story about the ingrown hair infection was fake. So was the story about him eating sushi, even though people seem to believe it. So you probably think "hey, it's so unreal that it HAS to be doctored". That would normally be the first response, because... well... honestly, who would WANT such a thing to be possible.
'Cept it is, unfortunately.
The stories are mostly fake. The picture is NOT, and it has been confirmed.
It wasn't due to the car accident he was in- it was a rare form of cancer that ate away the top of his skull and his scalp. He WAS aware of it, but decided against seeking ANY medical help because it didn't cause any pain (though that shouldn't have STOPPED him... what an idiot...). It was only when he was involved in a minor car accident that they found out the top portion of his skull was missing, and decided to investigate- thereby discovering the gruesome scene.
Consider if you will that it takes even fly maggot eggs a few days to hatch, so finding the dude in a minor accident with a freshly-opened skull and then maggots and eggs immediately following afterwards really doesn't seem to make much sense.
As far as the boob-pic... fake. We know this. It's easy to tell. But it's unsettling all the same. And such a thing IS possible, and has happened. Check the explanation on the woman from Nigeria- it contains a video of a 70-year old woman getting... things... pulled from her breast... *shudder* |

you guy that think it's fake are retarded. It can migrate and i can only imagine what the rest of his organs look like. The eggs deposit in the mouth or the sinus cavity and migrate up that cavity to the brain. all from oral ingestion. Ask any madical dr. consumption of raw fish is a russian roulet with your life!!! |
