Damn. Hairy beat me to it months ago. I was gonna ask if anyone notices any bizarre happenings round full moon (since it's getting pretty close to one now).
My dog's acting weird and howling in her sleep. Mind you, she's a very unusual dog - is that a reflection on the owner, do you think? |

I tend to issue marriage proposals aroundd the full moon. They're issued just before, and those who turn them down then dispappear one by one during full moon. |

I use to see the moom better when I lived out in the country. All the coyotes would howl. |

Luna calls to me this night, and asks that I dance with her and Jupiter. This I will do, for I feel her attraction, and her power is great and beautiful. RrrrrrrrrraoooooOOoooool |

I occasionally howl at the moon when it's full
But I assure you there's nothing wrong with me
it's just the way it seems to look at me with that holier than thou attitude. It just needs someone to have a go at it. I find it especially unnerving on the occasions it winks at me. And especially when it howls back.
Just thinking about the moon is beginning to make me hungry. It's made out of Macaroni and Green cheese you know.
Shame there's nothing to drink up there.
But I digress.
What was I talking about?
Oh, who cares, no one's read this far anyway. |

I know that it's been 'debunked' as just supersition and such...but mom always said there were a lot more nuts coming into the ER on full moons. She didn't always know it was a full moon until she went outside to go home.
I always wondered about the woman-in-labor thing though. I think the full moon happened the week my water broke, but I didn't go into labor for another week after that. |

I'm sure that none of the people who post here have much experience with Public Assistance, particularly on the receiving end. But as a Welfare caseworker, I can vouch for the substantial increase of nutty phonecalls and visits from the fringes of our local population of the underpriveledged around the full moon each month. But then, it never stops. |

Sharruma, I always read your posts. And if you do go to the moon, be careful, my niece tells me a giant rabbit lives there.
:gulp:
I don't want you to get hurt! |

I had a friend who told me about the giant rabbit too! He's got a table with eggs on it too...
The moon was really pretty last night. Had this really eerie aura caused by the slight cloud cover. Wanted to take a photo of it, but my camera doesn't extend to taking photos of the night sky. |

I once wrote a paper where I pointed out that Dutch neolithic dolmens are oriented towards the rising moon |

Sister moon will be my guide
In your blue, blue shadows I would hide
All good people asleep tonight
I'm all by myself in your silver light
I would gaze at your face the whole night through
I'd go out of my mind, but for you
[...]
My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun
My hunger for her explains everything I've done
To howl at the moon the whole night through
And they really don't care if I do
I'd go out of my mind, but for you
(Sting: sister moon) |

It was really fantastically bright out last night b/c of the moon. Made it very difficult for baby girl to sleep. |
