Bush being wired is mentioned many places and even has a thread here, tho' it looks like it dropped to page two. |

Bush has now officially denied the mystery bulge was a radio device. He claims it was a poorly tailored shirt. But how does a poorly tailored shirt form a perfectly square shape? Sounds about as lame as Ashlee Simpson's 'I had acid reflux' excuse:
From the Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A63949-2004Oct26.html
This morning, in part two of his interview with Bush on ABC's "Good Morning America," Charlie Gibson spit it out. Brandishing a copy of the photo, he asked: "Final question. What the hell was that on your back, in the first debate?"
Bush chuckled.
Bush: "Well, you know, Karen Hughes and Dan Bartlett have rigged up a sound system -- "
Gibson: "You're getting in trouble -- "
Bush: "I don't know what that is. I mean, it is, uh, it is, it's a -- I'm embarrassed to say it's a poorly tailored shirt."
Gibson: "It was the shirt?"
Bush: "Yeah, absolutely."
Gibson: "There was no sound system, there was no electrical signal? There was --"
Bush: "How does an electrical -- please explain to me how it works so maybe if I were ever to debate again I could figure it out. I guess the assumption was that if I was straying off course they would, kind of like a hunting dog, they would punch a buzzer and I would jerk back into place. I -- it's just absurd."
So it's the shirt? Sure doesn't look like a shirt. |

have to agree with Dubya, it's prettty absurd. Any device that produced any sound would have been detected by the equipment that was present. If it was just a buzzer, why would they have put it in such a stupid place? |

it was a small electric fence unit. If GW strayed too near the bar before the debate, he got at zap. Invisible fence for Capitalist dogs, Komerades |

Unknown to most people Bush is a cross dresser. He wears a rather heafty bra. the square bulge in the back was the overlapped material that contains the clasps that hold it together. 😊 |

I think maybe it really is the shirt. I have some shirts that have extremely large tags. Might be that. |

Actually, it's the radio receiver for the spinal implants that Cheney used to control Bush during the debate. The implants aren't perfect and that's why Bush often mispronounces words in his attempts to fight the impulses.

It was a WMD, or a W. Manipulation Device. Ever see the little stick attached to the hand of Muppets? One hand works the head, another the hand. The voice is dubbed in. I always thought that GW sounded like Paul Winchell as Knucklehead Smith (God, I'm old) |
