Couple 'raise' Cabbage Patch doll as son
A couple from the US state of Maryland have "raised" a Cabbage Patch doll as their only son for 19 years.
Pat and Joe Posey treat the 1ft doll, christened Kevin, as a human.
He goes everywhere with them, they talk to him - and he "replies" through Joe putting on his voice.
The doll has his own 1,000 sq ft playroom at the couple's home, a red doll-sized Chevrolet Corvette car, a pet dog, a full wardrobe and a �2,000 savings fund for when he goes to college.
Joe and Pat love him so much they prefer him to their real child, an adult daughter named Vicky, says The Sun.
Pat said: "With every kid that you adopt, you promise to love them and be a good parent and take care of this child. And that's what we did with Kevin." She said the doll is "easy-going, quiet and well-behaved".
Joe says the doll's favourite hobby is fishing, and father and son go on frequent trips to a pond near their home.

i find this story amazing and beautiful, we too have beautiful cabbage patch kid called rosie and we love her very much, i find some of comments deeply offensive. we love rosie more than anything. she's a very happy child and enjoys long walks in the park in her pram. i'd very much like rosie to meet kevin one day and maybe they could get married and have a cabbage patch kid of their own one day. |

We just read about Kevin and we think that Kevin should find new parents. These parents are spoiling him. Isn't a 19 year old ready to get a job and move out? He needs to pay for his own car insurance. My cabbage patch daughter, Lena, already has a good job as a greeter at Wallmart. The pay is good and she gets benefits. However, she doesn't like the blue uniform. :roll: |

I think this story is amazing and reflects the feelings i have for my own children. all 8 of them are cabbage patch kids. Munch,Fartalot,moses,Bogey,Hugo,Shellie,Beckie And last but not least lucie. I couldnt wish for better behavied children, I dont know if its to do with the fact there mouths are stiched and there stuffed dolls or because i decipline them all. they enjoy many activites there favourite is clay pigeon shooting. and train spotting i like to think of them as my own railway children but my husband as not yet dissapeared into a cloud of smoke. i think kevin owning a ferrari is extrememly outrageous. all my children own a white bus which they ride to school. and they like to lick the windows then walk past. They are all very popular amongst other children, i would like to thank argos for helping me with this situation god bless you all x |

My child is 14 and he too is a cabbage patch .. he is very well behaved because he knows if he isnt I will get the belt out! I believe in physical punishment with these children, I quite often catch Timmy hitching a ride in the mouth of my cat, thats normally when i have to get the wooden spoon out and give him a good wallopping. They are never too old for that. |

im orry but tis aint messed up, i have a lil brother Jamie-Max, and hes a troll, a biggish sized one, not one of the lil ones, hes been my lil bro forever , he speaks thru my own voice and my mothers, hes so cute but also cheeky, let these ppl live and od what they want, it isnt a hoax, its real, i understand them totally,
