Over here in Merry Olde Englande we have something at school we like to cal uniform. You can guess the details, shirt, tie, jackets, smart shoes, smart trousers. No silly hats, mercifully. Most schools have some kind of uniform, and almost all of these raise money for charity with 'Non-Uniform Days'. Basically, you pay a pound to whatever charity and the rules are dropped for you for that day. My school, being particularly straight-laced, even has rules on when these are allowed to happen; only twice a year. Imagine if you will the elation when a third non-uniform day was announced for last year. The notices went up in a few discreet locations and the word spread like wildfire, but no one was collecting money. Few suspected anything, it had been collected on the day itself in the past. Needless to say, the teaching staff were more than a little surprised when more than half the school turned up in t-shirts and jeans. They still don't know it was yours truly, so don't spread it around ok?

have recently learned of the following jape at a local school at the end of last term
the staff of this school first knew something was up when they found a small pig happil feasting on coffee filters in the staff common room. a brief inspection of the pig revealed a much bigger problem: it bore the number '2' painted on one side. pigs 1 and 4 were recovered within the hour, but the whole school was sent home as pig 3 and possible more were assumed to be still roaming.
the punchline? there was of course never a pig 3 |
