Well, there's real, and there's "real." It might have been filmed in a single, continuous take, with no cgi, but it's not what it claims to be. Towards the beginning, there is a tire, that roll to the bottom of a ramp, and bumps another tire, pushing it up the ramp. That, in turn, bumps a third, which in turn, bumps a fourth off the top of the ramp. The third tire, if you watch, clearly bumps the fourth, then begins to roll back down. Then, it reverses, on its own, and rolls uphill for no reasons. It could, conceivably, have been filmed at an angle, which would explain why so many of the various rolling objects rolled so energetically. Or there may have been wires or motors involved.
But no tire will start to roll down a ramp, then reverse itself, and roll back up, without help. |

Actually Terry, if you take two elongated boards of any hard material, placed parallel to one another, with the spacing slightly greater at the top than at the bottom, a spherical object (works best), or round objects will seem to defy gravity. All it's trying to do is fall between the two boards, which the eaziest way for it to do so is by traveling upwards. Try it for yourself, or ask a science teacher or physics professor. they might even give you a demonstration. |

Rex: you failed grade school science, didn't you? Gravity doesn't work that way. It can be made to look that way by using non-visible energy - amazing things can be done with magnetism - but gravity always pulls straight down.
I suspect what you describe is an optical illusion. That, too, is easy enough. |

Actually, it's gravity that's causing the upward motion. I know that sounds like a contradiction, but thats exactly how it works. It in effect falls upward. I told you if you didn't believe me to contact someone you would, like a teacher or professor at a nearby school. In fact, it was demonstrated both on Newtons Apple, and Bill Nye the Science Guy. Ask a professional. |

Or, simply try it out for yourself at home. |

It's the grappletation addedattraction of The Roaring Boring Alice, otherwise know as The Norton Lies. One can easily disprove this conotation by applecasing of the Skule Principle, also known as Marshall's Law. It states: Every action has an equal chance at succeeding to roll uphill, unless the month has an "R" in it. Clear things up any? cool |

Ok, #1 the tire : It rolls uphill because there is a weight inside at the top making it top-heavy. When bumped the weight will drop to the bottom, carrying the tire uphill.
B the spherical object : this works only as an illusion. The ball will appear to roll uphill as the boards are raised, but it will actually be dropping slightly as the distance between the boards increases. A very narrow margin here but, with no other frames of reference to compare against, will look very convincing.
Tertiary Hairy : obviously working an a plane far above the rest of us. Probably gonna crash soon so watch out. |

True, Saw a programme about this on TV talking about how long and hard this ad was to make, no CG or nothin'. |

If you scroll up the page, you will notice I never said that was how the tires rolled uphill in the commercial. I simply said that it was not entirely impossible for something to take place to the effect of an object going uphill on it's own accord. |

Nice pun, Rex.
No Accord of its own?
