No sooner do I see the bogus claim of Face Reading being given to the police in a local newspaper, the same paper, a few pages later, reports on yet another lake monster.
The newest sea monster has all the aloofness of Nessie and a similar character, Ogopogo, said to live in Lake Okanogan in the British Columbia interior.
Ol'Slavey is reputed to inhabit Great Slave Lake in Canada's Northwest Territories. As usual, there is no hard evidence and only fleeting glimpses. One witness said it looks like an "alligator with the head of a pike".
The sighting that sparked the news story involved a witness on shore that spotted something following a small boat. Well I guess that proves it.
The paper's story is not available online but a sister publication in Edmonton, Alberta also ran it.

Perhaps it is the OingoBoingo, or the Cuppasugga, or the Nude Jersey Dimple, or the Shatsquat, or the Abdominal Crunchman, or the Orange-Peztab, or the M'Rubbi M'abelly, or Ne'erssie, or Bigfool, or the Putdown Man, or the Boredstiff Giant, or Amelia Earhardt. It could happen. |
