No, but according to a food labs analysis conducted by William Poundstone for his book Big Secrets (fun read, btw, I recommend it--and the two sequels, Bigger and Biggest Screts, respectively) the 11 herbs and spices, as measured from a sample bag bought from an KFC employee, consist of salt, pepper, flour and monosodium glutamate. If you exclude flour as a "spice", I'd call their advertising "puffing" a bit. |

The whole KFC not using chicken is just a stupid urban ledgend that started when they stopped calling themselves Kentucky Fried Chicken and just KFC. The Urban ledgend says the reason they have to call themselves KFC is because they technically don't use chickens (most stories talk about these genetically created chicken things). The truth is they changed to KFC because they didn't like the word "Fried" in the name. They thought that gave all their food an unhealthy image. |

I worked at KFC for 4 years. If you look at their menus, they still read "Kentucky Fried CHICKEN." Comon, people, our chicken comes from Tyson. Why don't you inspect the last pack of Tyson chicken breasts you picked up from the grocery store? |
