 I found PetsorFood.com in the hoax list, but not much info accompanies it. How can I find out for sure if it's really a hoax? I went through the ordering process on the site and even that appeared legitimate. The CEO is Stanley Zwibel.

The ordering process does seem frighteningly real. But here's a few clues that the site is a hoax. First, the site says your live animal will be shipped to you by 'Roadway Animal Express.' There's no such service. Plus, a lot of the animals they list can't be bought unless you're a zoo. I don't think you can just order up a koala over the internet.

Second, the CEO Stanley Zwibel is a fictional character. You can find this admitted elsewhere on the internet, such as here http://www.chillingeffects.org/protest/notice.cgi?NoticeID=416 where Mensa tried to get petsorfood to stop them from mentioning Mensa on the site... to which petsorfood replied that it's fiction.

I want to leave my comment, I dont know if this sites a hoax like bonsai kitten but.. it sure gives off a sad feeling inside you knowing that it could be a real site. there are really sick people out there

hi, I am so disgusted with this site, even if it is a hoax. These people behind this are sick, they have gone to a lot of trouble producing this it. They are just as bad as people who afflict real harm to animals, if there not doing so already. A group children I work with found this site by accident, and as myself we all found it very disturbing. why has it not been blocked?
They need to be stopped.

Stopped from what, offending your overly delicate sensibilities? They've done nothing illegal, or even morally wrong. Equating a joke with actual harm is ludicrous. If you don't like it don't look at it, but don't try to censor them just because you disagree with it.

Ok. Ever look at petsorfood.com ? well ya. I dont know if it just a fake, or what but the whole idea of selling this meat is disturbing and discusting. Even if it is fake, it needs to be stopped. This is disturbing to many of us vegans,and vegetarians, and others. This site also may give others crazy ideas. They are "selling Bald Eagle meat, panda, etc."
and this may give people the idea of "oh they sell this meat, than it must be okay for me to go kill these creatures for fun!"
so ya, we need to stop this site!

go to care2.com and search for the petition of stop petsorfood.com and sign it for me!

I love Petsorfood.com. It is a great site. I order all my tasty meals from there for my gatherings. MMMMMMM kitten livers LOL!!!

Anyway, you people that want this site removed, get a life. Everyday cows, sheep, fish, chickens, and other animals are butchered up here in the USA for food. There are a lot of countries that feel
the same way about cats and dogs as we feel about cows and chickens. It's a joke people, it's funny as hell. Who are you to say what others can or can't post on the net? Protest something more worthwhile like kiddie porn sites located on servers outside of the US.

Besides, if more people would eat animals like dogs or cats there would be less strays and that many less cats and dogs that the animal shelters would have to put to sleep everyday and dispose of in the local dump. Think about it fo a second instead of flipping out. There is a local animal control facility near me that puts down a whopping 80-90 cats and kittens a month. They put down 40 dogs or more a month as well. It's incredible.

Think of the homeless people out there starving to death. They could be eating all of this meat that is just discarded into the local landfill and eat well too. It's not so far fetched if you think about it like that.

As for people may see this site and think they can kill the animals for fun, well that is just stupid. People that kill for fun don't do it because of stuff they see on the web, they do it because they are truly sick and enjoy it somehow. The same thing goes for people that kill people for fun. They don't read a book or see something online and then just snap, they start out as being disturbed children which where either exposed to killing by an adult, molested, or had some other type of trauma occur. A joke website isn't responsible for stuff like that.

Now, as for removing sites because it offends you, everything offends someone somewhere. If we start removing one thing for one group of people we have to remove it all and then what would be left? Nothing. You people need to think before you act otherwise you will give all your rights and freedoms away. If this joke site offends you, your anti hunting site offends me, should they both then be removed? You can't get your message out and I can't get my message out where does that leave our messages? Unheard and unknown. Is that what you want? If it is, then keep on going the route you are going.

Just think about it.

I don't care whether the site encourages animal or not but anyone who thinks that the site could even remotely be real really needs to get out more. There is no way anyone could get hold of a Komodo Dragon and use it for meat. The same goes for baby seals, Dodo birds (they really are extinct(btw the Carrera Islands are in Trinidad and Tobago not off Brazil)),and spotted wood owls. Come on people THINK, dont just spew words about something based off your first impression.

some people just take themselves and life to seriously and so they cannot handle such an OBVIOUS joke site! They are animal rights freaks and probably think we should have all animals sitting AT the dinner table eating veggies, including that cow in the field! AMERICA, this is OUR country, all of us, get over your self.. lighten up and find some humor.

In MANY MANY counties animals=food..period! No I couldn't eat my dog, unless I was starving or my child was starving and there was no way to get food..like many other countries.

To them all animals are livestock used for food to feed their families. they do not have food banks.. So who are we, the richest country in the world, to judge these people?!

And just FYI it is not illegal in the USA to eat dog.. As cruel as it may sound, we are all made up of different cultures in this country.

its not real because you can't sell the american national bird,
especially to be eaten lol.
i emailed peta and they told me its not real...
