If this has been featured here I've missed it... You may have heard of the UK government's public awareness website, UK Resilience (http://www.ukresilience.info/home.htm). Well, a student set up a spoof website, which he was supposedly asked to take down. Of course, this has led to extensibe reporting in the national press (such as this Guardian article: http://politics.guardian.co.uk/egovernment/story/0,12767,1272498,00.html) The spoof 'HM Department of Vague Paranoia' site is obviously a spoof rather than a hoax, but it's pretty funny.
