I tend to agree with Sherm. Has exactly the same body movements as the actor known as Erkle. Watch a couple of episodes! Deep "SIX" won't let him say a word...very hush hush. |

Sorry guys and dolls, not Erkle. In fact, not even MALE. Watch the moves closely, or do a digital record and playback on the commercials. Check gestures, facial movement (under the mask and bald wig), and pelvic spacing while dancing or walking. Definitely FEMALE, and a heck of a dancer. |

This is excerpted from Stuart Elliott's weekly email newsletter from the NY Times:
Several Readers Ask: We really enjoy watching that funny-looking old guy with the big ears and glasses - he resembles a short Junior Soprano - performing the crazy dance in the latest Six Flags commercial. We love the catchy electronic tune; it makes us want to dance! And we're curious about what this actor really looks like. My wife thinks it is not an older gentleman but a young dancer because he is so limber. I on the other hand think it is a talented dancer in his 70's. Can you tell us who is right and who this crazy guy is?
Stuart Elliott: The commercial for the Six Flags amusement parks, which began appearing about a month ago, is from the company's new agency, Doner, in Southfield, Mich. The spot shows the vivacious oldster arriving in a bus in a dull suburban neighborhood - or is that redundant? - where his wacky antics encourage residents to join him on a trip to Six Flags. After they get there, needless to say, they enjoy themselves immensely.
"We are getting incredible response" to the commercial, says Debbie Nauser, a spokeswoman for Six Flags in Oklahoma City, which "isn't the norm for us." Indeed, the 30- and 60-second versions of the commercial both appear on the current list of the top 10 most effective new spots as compiled by the Intermedia Advertising Group; the long version was No. 2 and the short version was No. 8.
Alas, Ms. Nauser is unwilling to identify the actor or tell how old he may be. Because he is meant to serve as "the spirit of Six Flags" in the spot, she says, "beckoning people to get away from their busy schedules for the ultimate," the company prefers not to discuss anything about him.
Ms. Nauser, will, however, identify the song in the commercial, which is "We Like to Party," a 1999 novelty tune by a group called the Vengaboys.
In trying to shield the identity of the actor, Six Flags joins Verizon Wireless, which has steadfastly refused to discuss who plays its Test Man character, who utters the catch phrase "Can you hear me now?" in a series of popular commercials. Advertising Age and USA Today have identified him as Paul Marcarelli.
I would agree with the readers who say that based on how energetically the actor moves in the Six Flags spot, it is likely a younger man dressed and made up to resemble an older one. If any other readers have information on who he might be, please let me know. The prize for the right answer: a virtual In Advertising Deputy Ad Sleuth badge. |

Mr. Six is definitely not an old man.
He has too many moves. You can plainly see the make over his head and face. His skin is not natural.
This is a very agile young person. |

WELL I was all bothered trying to figure this out then I realized I was only being used by six flags to promote there park everytime I asked someone what they thought he or she was. So when the lightbulb went off that I was doing advertizing for them and not even getting as much as a free t-shirt or a coupon as some companies like to hand out to get there message out after printing it on them. I have quit wondering and stopped asking folks what they think about him. But don't get me wrong if you want to continue to fall into there very clever marketing ploy then continue. I will just wait for Six flags to send me my check before I go spread word for them again. Just in case your wondering why I am posting on here if I don't care. I was forwarded this link by a friend whom before I started my Mr. Six Boycott I had bothered with the question. One good idea is if anyone on here is a police officer and can get to one of his events ask Mr. Six for his Picture ID since the supreme court just recently said everyone has to show ID if asked by a officer of the law. Okay back to mindless word processing. |

Mr. Six is obviously someone who has had YEARS of dancing experiance. I doubt it is Erkel because if it was somebody who was previously famous there would probably already be proof it was him. I think that Six Flags wanted as many people as possible to believe it is in fact an old man, so they probably got somebody in there 20's or 30's who was very experienced in dancing to catchy Elektronica music and applied a LOT of make-up. As for this dancing icon being male or female, (I think that somebody said it was female) I hope that it was a male. I also highly doubt it was a female because that would be kind of weird. It could be a gay male for all we know. Plus, at his Six Flags appearance in Gurnee...he had hair on his hands. People reported it was REAL, and if it was a female...... LETS JUST HOPE IT WASN"T!!! |

Well, so far we have had three people who definitely named "Mr. Six". One said he is a "Brian", one said he is a "Ryan", and the last said he is a "Bryan". I'm afraid I don't have a name for all of you, but I am still convinced that the dancer under the makeup would come closer to being a "Brianna" than a "Brian". I may be wrong, but I still think this is a young lady, and I repeat, "One Heck of a dancer". Thanks, and have a great week everyone. |

Its a guy. Six flags would not risk that kind of bad publicity if someone actully figured out that it was a girl. I don't have anything against girls, just dressing girls up like 50 year old dudes. i do belive he is a younger man though. Look on the back of his head. A lot of hair is balled up under a bald wig. Does anyone know where I can download his song? I already downloaded "Let's Party" by the Vegaboys (the original song) but i want just the part he is dancing to. |

Perhaps this is a stupid question, but how could it result in bad publicity for Six Flags if it does happen to be a female? We are not in a Muslim ruled country here. Personally, I think it would add to the "joke" and be a true coup for the ad agency that came up with the idea.
Have a great weekend everyone! |

I saw an Inside Edition feature that was posing the same questions. I still say it's Erkle based on the move he made where he almost puts his hands on his hips. An Erkle signature move. Plus the way he has the wide open mouth which is the other Erkle signature. I guess we'll see. Oh, and who is the Verizon guy? I better quit. Peace |

Ok, here is the deal. I know him personally. And once it gets out who it is, everyone that knows him will not beleive it. Mr. Six is someone that has never danced in a club or in public. He has been taking lessons for the last couple of years and this is his break through I guess you would say. Next time you see him, say hi to Kevin Briggs, for that is his real name. |

He is definitely a man. Look closely at his hands in a good quality large digital photo. The shape of his hands and nails are too real to be prosthetics. Also his eyes seem to be a mans eyes.
He is not Urkel either. Urkel has become to large of a man to be this diminutive dancer.
Laslty, he is most assuredly not old. |

Mr. Six is played by a gentleman in his early 20's who's name is Danny. Danny is a professional dancer in Los Angeles area. He's originally from England. The Mr. Six makeup is based on the entertainment agent, Irving "Swifty" Lazar. Swifty was a bald man, with large ears, and large black "owl" glasses. The makeup is made of silicone and is made of overlapping appliances. |

Okay I am Back I think its the guy who is in the lawn chair with the redish hair and the shell necklace who looks into the bus and goes WHOA right before the water hits him in the six flags ad.
In all the rest of the commercials the people end up dancing through the park with the old man in that commercial you never see the people in the yard with the old man so its got to be one of those young guys. and someone said he had alot of hair under the bald wig so it has to be the guy in the lawnchair with the longer hair.
its mr six doing a alfred hitchcock cameo in his own commercial i tell you.

I thnk it is a young lady. The body language and the spacing between the legs shows woman. There is no way it can be Erkil(or however you spell it(. Have you seen how tall that kid is now???? He must be about a foot and a half taller than that old man. My personal beleif is that there is an actual old man that is sitting on the bus and then a young lady dressed as him to do that dancing parts. Look closely at the commercials, parts of the dancing look like they have been sped up, watch the background closely. I really don't care who it is but it would be cool to know. I will say however that it is one gbreazt publicity stunt, Kudo's to the one who came up with that idea. |

Finally, somebody actually agrees that it might be a female! I think if you take a closer look, all the signs point to a VERY GOOD female dancer. Regardless of the person behind the mask, it has been a HUGELY successful ad campaign for this agency and Six Flags. I would love to see more of this type of imaginative usage of airtime, rather than the mindless drivel to which we are normally subjected by the media. If you wish to see how imagination can make a huge success, even on a shoestring budget, go to JibJab and see how the two brothers have done with "This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land". Have a great week. |
