Annie Abbott: Little Georgia magnet and others

Ok, so these are definitely hoaxes: Annie Abbott and Sisuepahn. But how does it work? I mean, it obviously can't "work" in any real way, the question is how does the hoax work? Wouldn't people who pay this Sisuepahn woman to come for a show sue her when she doesn't deliver? Or if she does, how does she do it?

Interestingly, all of the pictures shown on Sisuephan's website show people trying rather awkward lifting techniques to pick her up - they're trying to grab her by the waist and do a curl. They don't have a good grip on her and are not using their muscles effectively when they try things this way. I'd like to see someone try a back-to-back lift - you stand back to back, link arms, and lean forward so as to pull the person on your back up into the air. I weigh about 220 lbs and I've had met one woman who weighed about half what I did lift me into the air this way. |
