I'm sorry that this is a somewhat worthless post because I have almost no details. But that pic if taken from a series of (faked) pics regarding aliens coming to earth. The photographer also did a series with a mutated looking man in various awkward social scenarios. I really wish I could remember his name, or the link to his work, as it is now driving me crazy... |

I added the picture itself to the post. I've definitely seen this before, and like Lothar says, I also have the vague memory that it was some kind of art project. Or maybe special effects for a film. |

Mystery solved (that was quick). Kentaro Mori just emailed me with the solution:
It's a photograph by artist Charlie White:

Come on now Paul... give credit where due. It was certainly quicker than say mailing out the inquiry and waiting for the friendly postman to return hopefully someday with a reply now wasn't it? 😊 |

I've heard that it was a Chuparabaca (sp????) a carniverous (aaaaaaaah!!!! sp???) sheep-eating sot of creature that is said to inhabit southe & central America.
(don't ask me. Mr. Boese might know more)

Actually, it's a dead dog's head with a halloween mask on it, according to snopes. |

No its a seal's head. dogs don't have sharp teeth in the front of their noses. |

Come on, don't hate on Maegan from Tampa!
😉
This has been Snopesed, too, just fyi, and evidently Skeptic is quite right that it's been rumored to be a chupacabra...it isn't really, though, of course. |

I know that Snopes says it's a piece of art created by a special effects expert for an art series, but that still doesn't answer exactly what it is. Is it made from latex and foam, then, or is it an artistically made-up dog's head? It looks a lot like a dog's head. I haven't had much experience with dead seals, so I can't say whether it could be a seal's head as Kirby suggests.
And Winona's right, Maegan is a hottie. As is Winona. |

If you look closely at the head, this is real...the Bottom is designed to catch any blood drippings as it sucks the blood from it's prey...you'll also notice there are no bottom teeth, as it doesn't need them for chewing...this picture, whatever it is, is real, somehow they want us to believe it's anything but(not to impose fear)a Chupacabra.
Just the fact that the little boy is using a stick to show it's teeth so as to not touch it, look at the guts below it....a peice of art??,by a special
effects artist, worth a lot of money and he would let some local residents poke at it and hook it?...ok!!....if I have been fooled, my hats off to the creator of this head...he is more than a expert in special effects. |
